UPN STRUTS ITS STUFF WITH THE SECOND CYCLE OF THE HIT DRAMALITY SERIES "AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL," FEATURING TYRA BANKS,
TO DEBUT ON TUESDAY, JAN. 13 AT 9:00 PM

AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, UPN’s hit dramality series featuring world-renowned supermodel Tyra Banks, returns for a second cycle of 10 episodes with an all new group of women fiercely competing for their chance at a grand prize package that includes a modeling contract, on Tuesday, Jan. 13 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN.

The first cycle of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL was UPN’s highest-rated program last season among all adult women. Created by world-renowned supermodel Tyra Banks, who executive produces the series with Ken Mok ("Making the Band"), the show exposes the transformation of everyday young women into potentially fierce top models, who live together in a New York loft and vie for the grand prize. Cameras catch each moment as participants face weekly tests that determine who makes the cut. With mentoring by supermodel Tyra Banks and exposure to high-profile fashion industry gurus, the finalists compete in a highly accelerated modeling boot camp -- a crash course to top model fame.

During this cycle, the competition is tougher with 12 participants who will struggle to demonstrate both inner and outer beauty as they master complicated cat walks, intense physical fitness, fashion photo shoots and perfect publicity skills, all under 24-hour-a-day surveillance of the AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL cameras. The group will also take an unforgettable overseas trip to a destination that is one of the modeling industry's most competitive cities in the world.

Banks leads the panel of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL judges, comprised of leading fashion industry experts that include former supermodel Janice Dickinson, Jane senior fashion editor Eric Nicholson, and photographer Nigel Barker. In addition, special guest judges will appear to critique within his or her area of expertise.

Banks began her modeling career as a teenager and has evolved into a world-renowned supermodel who has become a pioneer in the industry. She was the first African-American woman to grace the covers of GQ Magazine, Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue and Victoria’s Secret Catalog. In 1997, she received the prestigious Michael Award for Supermodel of the Year. She later secured an exclusive contract with Victoria’s Secret, among others.

The executive producers of the series are Ken Mok ("Making the Band") and Tyra Banks. AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL is produced by 10 by 10 Entertainment in association with Ty Ty Baby Productions. The dramality was created by Banks and developed by Mok and Kenya Barris. Emmy Award® winner Anthony Dominici is co-executive producer of this series.
