ok here is what i think of tonights episode

first when they all started walking into the mall area i taught wow this may actually be the first cycle with tall regular girls who can be models working runways imo...then the bus was sweet and simple and good cause i hate when they get limos and its all decked out...the house looks like season 8s house but is much better and interesting to look at...I think the photoshoot was very good and well executed compared to last seasons disaster...I still love Ambreal but im loving Heather and a few others as well...Im upset that majority of the girls were picking and talking about Heather when she was around and i kind of got angry, i almost cried when Heather cried on the phone to her mom cause not one of those girls know how it is to be in her shoes...the challenge was much better than expected at least the judges are paying attention to the girls imo...the judging room was pretty cool and i liked it, but all in all i think everyone pulled out a beautiful first photoshoot with little experience they have, im sad that mila is gone but at the same time she was not taking her job as serious as the others were imo, but mila will get an agency cause her face is stuning...if the photoshoots can continue to look as good or better than the first this cycle would be great and the second best...o0o i hope bianca get eliminated soon

initial reactions:

-Pretty awesome first photoshoot, I must say.
-Heather is near perfection. I would just like to see her shine by herself and really OWN a shoot.
-Bianca, honey, there's a reason why you've been rejected by agencies so many times and the callout order tonight just proved it.
-Tory is one classy, photogenic, respectful gal.
-Lisa v. Bianca? Lisa wins this round.
-Mila leaving came as no surprise but I will say that her glam shot was good.
-Ebony being in the bottom was silly. My vote would've been Bianca.
-BTW, this means Ebony will not win. Winners are never in the bottom this early.
-Someone needs to teach Kim things.
-Chantal is moving up.
-Sarah reminds me of Charlotte (from Sex and the City) in her shot.
-Saleisha needs long, straight Tiffany C4 hair with bangs.
-Twiggy was uncharacteristically harsh.
-Ms. Jay doing something with the girls that DOESN'T involve runway?! Whaaa?
-My reaction to Tyra's ban on smoking? Jenah. Will. Go. Crazy.

All in all, good showing!

I liked the idea of an anti-smoking photoshoot, and I did approve of some of the pictures, but the "stillborn baby" was in very poor taste and ruined the whole concept for me. However, I'm very pleased with Tyra's non-smoking decree - it's all for the best possible reasons, and I hope it compels some of the models who smoke to quit for good.

I just reviewed the caps from that site and I realized how graphic the photos and makeup were. They were so extremely eerie and disgusting and I was shocked and sorta traumatized.

I'm just wondering if there were any warnings for graphic slightly grotesque moments before the show started.

I mean the show disturbed me and even though I'm not a smoker it makes me think twice about even thinking about smoking. I cant imagine what a young girl is thinking looking at these extremely graphic photos. I think Tyra purposely made the photoshoot extremely graphic and nasty because it IS realistic. Young girls will see this and they will be afraid of those side effects and probabaly not touch a cigarette. I applaud Tyra for this awesome photoshoot. Took me a second time of reviewing the photos to realize

Also there was a theory I had about Tyra picking the photos. I mean its very rare for a set of photos to be THIS good even though its the first official episode of the season. Usually I think Tyra purposely picks a bad photo for a specific girl just to get the story going and reason for elimination. Even for the girl who was eliminated her photo was beautiful for the glamour part and horrible for the side effect part which is good. I think Tyra made sure to get the best photo out of all the girls so its more about the statement rather than the actual photos.

CW updated the site with photos from tonight's episode, but no official photos from the photoshoot. Usually they're up by midnight (which is when the other stuff was posted), so I hope they're not planning on not posting them at all. That would be the worst and I'd hate them forever, lol.

My thoughts on tonight's episode.

- I actually thought every girl did great during the shoot. There was not one shot I disliked. I thought the shoot would be a disaster but I really loved it.

- I don't care how serious of a matter it is, but I would've laughed too if I was Mila. I'm sorry, but I thought the make-up was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing while I was watching her, especially when she wasn't on set and was just talking to the camera in it! Call me insensitive if you want. But they almost went a little TOO overboard with her side effect make-up in comparison to the other girls.

- I personally think Tyra's smoking ban is pure crap. But then again, I'm a smoker so I am biased. But it might possibly cause some juicy drama when the nicotine withdrawals kick in. (Who smokes, by the way? Jenah for sure, and either Lisa or Bianca. In the jacuzzi there was a pack of cigarettes and a lighter behind them) I wish her reasoning for it was at least BETTER. I didn't start smoking because I saw somebody who I looked up to doing it. I started it because I was curious. She's already had like four winners who smoke anyway.

- Janet's a sweetheat. But I don't see her lasting long. None of the judges seemed particularly fond of her and she's just too stable and nice. Her photo was a pleasant surprise though.

- Kimberly's statements were a little out of line (I felt horrible for Heather the entire episode) but I still love her.

- I really get the feeling that Bianca's behavior is intentionally atrocious and vile. She has seemed mostly pleasant in every interview. I just... I don't know, it feels to me like she is just acting out for attention from the viewers.

I'm thinking that because the CW haven't put the pictures up online yet, that they probably won't due to the controversy surrounding the death shoot last cycle. They probably don't want a repeat. Shame, because these aren't nearly as scary and I would've liked to see the glam side clearer.

Anyway, I agree with you guys, this group did VERY well in this photoshoot. Lisa's face tumour is a tad much, as is Bianca's gingivitis (to a lesser extent), Chantal's hole in her neck (EEEW!) and Mila's tufts of hair that made me ROFL when I saw them. I am quite impressed despite EWing.

I may now rank them.

13. Kimberly - Oh my. Oh my. This is absolutely horrible. That is so not glamourous, yes hoochie, glamourous NO. Her side effect is horrible as well, and regardless of whether it can be contributed to the makeup, she did NOT work it. C'est terrible.

11. Ebony/Mila - Neither of these girliekins particularly worked it. Mila's side effect as I said, made me ROFL, while Ebony's is just kinda boring. Though it is safe, nice and safe and not icky. Both glamour shots were mediocre.

10. Janet - Well, her glamour photo isn't particularly good - her nose looks super long, but her side effect is very emotional. I like that she was able to bring emotion to the picture, which a lot of girls failed to do.

09. Sarah - Yeah, I don't mind this one. Average in both, and while her face looks gorgeous in the glamourous one, her body does not. I like her pose in the side effect. Not bad for a first shoot.

08. Lisa - Okay, I lovelovelove her glamour shot. She looks absolutely freakin' gorgeous. However, her side effect disturbs me (how did they make it stick out!?) and I don't think she particularly worked it either.

07. Heather - Wow at her glamour. It's absolutely beautiful! Her skin looks like porcelain and her features are so elegant and defined. Her side effect is average at best and for some reason, her face bothers me.

05. Chantal/Jenah - Well, Jenah's entire picture is better IMO, but Chantal's glamour is so amazing. I don't really like her side effect. Her face looks bad and the hole in the neck is a bit *throws up*. Jenah did well. I like her side effect and her glamour is OK.

04. Ambreal - Good. Her side effect is OK, not amazing, but good, while her glamour is GORGEOUS. Her neck looks so long and elegant and her skin so rich and beautiful.

02. Bianca/Saleisha - Bianca's side effect is great, while her glamour is average, and Saleisha's glamour is great but her side effect is average. Binx did an amazing job with the gingivitis, despite looking A LOT like Voldemort. Saleisha's effect is OK, but she and Heather did a great job together.

01. Victoria - She was at the bottom of my list pre-show, but this picture swings all that around. This is by far the best of the week. Her side effect picture has so much sadness and raw emotion, while her glamour is just gorgeous. I can't believe she's first on my list, but she deserves a booty snap for this one.
