Yeah I've seen contortionists before. But to me it's a different kind of contortion. Not someone dislocating their shoulders in a gruesome matter like Turf does.

There was an amazing contortionist on Britain's Got Talent a few years ago.

Most of America probably thinks it's gross too but they, like always, vote for the person and the story, and not the act, if you get what I'm saying.

I know exactly what you are saying. This year seems different though with many, more talented acts than Turf. It may be NBC pimping Turf and I know that Howie and Howard have both said that he is up against similar acts that are his biggest competition. I still have faith that Turf and Tim won't be in the Top 4, maybe 5th and 6th at best.

*At least that's what my crystal ball says*

I still think Tim will win. A nice surprise would be anyone other than him, Turf, or Tom winning. A group act without a sob story would be the best thing ever, but that's about as possible as the Air Sex guy coming back to the Wildcard and winning every round with 100% of the vote, and then going on and becoming an international superstar.


Which, for the record, is somewhat possible but it very likely won't happen.

Thank you! That's a great way of putting it. When I think "contortion," I think of using your whole body. What Turf does is simply popping his arm out of the socket and twisting it around a bit. Yuk. Yuk. Yuk.

Edited to add: thank you for posting that clip! That was very similar to what we saw at the circus, only with slower music and candles. And it felt nice to watch British TV again.

He brags about his Twitter account - so maybe we all should Tweet him "Quit primping Turf - we want something better" or something.

(Not that Turf isn't good at what he does - he should definitely NOT win this over most of the acts in the fourth quarters, let alone acts anyway).

The 12 Youtube acts have been revealed. The two from the AGT Youtube page I was rooting for did not make it through. Instead we got a bunch of acts I didn't even see on the Youtube page, and those that were I wasn't even impressed by.

One won the Youtube vote, the other eleven were chosen by the judges. The Youtube vote winner was... a solo male singer?! You don't say!

Looks like we got:

Two dance groups (which means two opportunities for Howie to bring up Turf in a "You don't compare to Turf" kind of way.)
Two magicians
Two singers
A band
A parrot act
Two musicians
A comedian
and some guy who has no chance whatsoever.

Chuckled again over the Turf line. If there would be any consolation to having the solo singer win, it would be to see the look on Howie's face when his beloved Turf didn't.

So who were the two acts that you really liked? Just curious, because I think you have much better taste than the rest of the country. I'd rather see "Johhny Says They've Got Talent" than most of what we already have.

By the way, should any of us actually tweet Howie or just leave it? I was thinking of something along the lines of "Hey Howie, stop the constant Turf pimping. He's revolting and he sucks. If you need to be constantly pimping someone every chance you get, then do it for someone that actually deserves it."
