Thought I'd create a new thread for the Top 10.
While I'm not surprised that Kait-win got voted through, I'm shocked that Joseph Hall is still in it. Anyone care to speculate on the source of Joseph's voting block?

I think Elvis is done, but along comes someone else, and here we go again. I guess he can sing, but come up with your own schtick!
Same with the gentleman who sings Frank Sinatra. It does bring back memories, and will be good for the man's family, but I don't see him singing for a whole year in Vegas.
Kaitlyn is a cute 4 year old. I can't see paying money to see her in a show. She does hit a majority of her notes, but, for me, no thanks.
Donald Braswell and Queen Emily and Neal E Boyd are very enjoyable to listen to. Neal makes me tear up when he sings (in a good positive way).
Nuttin' But Strings can "rip it up"-they continue to "wow" me.
Rachel did a good job, but I don't know about the wow factor.
Eli Mattson did an outstanding job. Isn't he the one who was living in his car going across country to play little venues? I was really impressed with him.
I can't think of the other one's name. The 3 kids that play and sing would be better if they got back to what they do best.
I would also have enjoyed the family from Conn. -they have the musical talent. Also, the baton twirler. I hope this show was a shot in the arm for him. I was soooooo impressed!
The Wright Kids.... :teethQuote:

I like Neal's voice, but he's already sold out his dream, or at least put it on ice for a while. On the first audition show, in his back-stage interview with Jerry Springer, he said he sings opera. Onstage, he told Piers that he was there to "Make my family happy and to sing opera." He's done one aria, and then moved to more mainstream selections, none of which showcase an operatic voice.
Don't get me started on 4-year-olds or the audiences that think "cute" is a talent :pissedoff
I met Eli Mattson's father at our church, Kevin Mattson, these past 2 Sunday he was a guest of our pastor, I think they knew each other from Minnesota. Eli's father has a very good voice, he also composes music, he writes Christian songs, they are good songs, touching. Talked to him for a bit, he thinks he is son will win and I told him he is a strong contender. I think Eli is.
Kaitlyn, I don't think her parents are doing her any favors by letting her compete.
Anyone remember Alisan Porter from Star Search? She was about 5 when she was on, but was already a seasoned performer in musical theatre and commercials. She went on to a recurring role on PeeWee's Playhouse. Anyway, Alisan never looked scared or confused when she performed.Quote:

I pay half attention to this show and I didn't see it early in the season. I am shocked that this is their top 10. Certainly "Sinatra" and Kaitlyn cannot hold a show in Las Vegas. :ohno Why did the judges let them get this far when they had the control? Can you even imagine 90 minutes of either one?!
Nuttin but Strings and Eli Mattson are the only contenders for me.
The other singers are okay but not Vegas material.
Out of those remaining the only four that impress me are:
Nuttin But Strings
Donald Braswell
Eli Matteson
Queen Emily
That's it - those four. The 4 year old is being exploited by her parents and should NOT be in this competition. I like the Sinatra singer and Elvis - but for 1-1/2 hrs . . don't think so. Neal Boyd, while good his crying annoys me. The family group - no way. And, why wasn't the Baton Twirler selected - he's GREAT!!
My sentiments exactly! The baton twirler should have been over the 4-year old. I'd be watching the show right now if he were still in it. Missed tonight...will probably mis tomorrow as well.Quote:

And I do like the Sinatra singer. Maybe not on a main stage for an hour, but in a small lounge in one of the larger casinos.
