Can anyone tell me if by taking the yodeler and the whitney houston wannabe that means they've passed on the incredible Bianca Ryan? What was Brandy's quote, "I'm not saying she's better but I'd rather see her sing." I totally expected to see Bianca win this thing.

That's the 11-year-old with the incredible voice, but needs new hair, new dress, and new shoes? Yeah -- I was wondering the same thing. (Although my personal fave so far is the harmonica-god Miller kid.)

Who the flip needs another yodler? The county-fair circuit, perhaps, but otherwise? Feh!

Tbeckett and Ellen, to answer your question, Bianca Ryan should still be in the running. She will likely show up in the following weeks--remember, this is only the first of four semi-finals. We will be seeing her again.

The judges selected the 10 acts we saw this week out of the pool of 15 that we saw in the studio that day (if you read my recap, you'll see the names of the 5 unselected acts listed toward the end).

Although I can't say for sure, I think the other young singer the judges were referring to in the clip you both mention was Jessica Sanchez, the cute little girl they showed in the audience that night that we unfortunately never got to see perform, not even in the prelims.

Personally, I think it would have been nice to see all the acts that made it through to the semis at some point, but alas that's not how they structured the show. Seems kind of unfair to pass them through and then not give them any airtime, no?

Especially since so much of the show is recaps and filler! It's not as though there's no time to show the acts that made it through -- unless, of course, the target demo is actually a mixture of the Alzheimer and ADD population.

Thanks, too, for the rest of the clarification. So, I wonder if young Blackwomaninlittlewhitekidsbod y got her makeover yet? Platinum blonde, stick-straight rocker chick hair, leather bustier and fishnet stockings, and lipstick-red f***-me shoes. That should make Piers [sp?] one happy camper!

The whitney wannabe Alexis didn't make it through to the Finals. She was up against Taylor in the 1st semi round but Taylor and the Millers made it, she didn't.

I don't remember a Bianca, but she wasn't in the 1st semi round, so maybe she is still in this competition and will perform in the 2-4th rounds of the semis?
