I loved the way the producers made fun of Mr. Know-it-all.

So he fell into the ice once. In the Arctic, no less. Then he's fallen into the ice a lot.

He's worked for a paper products company. In fact, this VERY company.

Is he for real? Is there anything he isn't enormously qualified to evaluate? And yet, we still haven't seen a single one of his inventions.

I loved that too. It is interesting to see the other judges reacting to his lies, and I do think they are, by giving the inventor more consideration than they may have without this dynamic.

If one falls though the ice once, it should be enough to eliminate the possibility in the future.

The technology is not available to make a paper plate with a hole in it? OMG, he is a complete moron. Twenty-five years ago the technology was not available to make Post-it notes and yet here I am, doing nearly all my work on Post-it notes.

It is beyond my comprehension as to
why the plate thing can't be produced.
I am a graphic designer and we create
dies for paper cutting all the time. How
hard can this be. He is just a little
nasty person. He has said that he is the
"truth teller" but I think he should re-examine
his own truth detector.

I just plain hate him.

He is an equivalent of Simon on A.I.
Often cold and you can't tell if he is for real when dissing/dismissing when voting or putting you on a mind game trip.

I just love it when he becomes like the a-hole when he is the only one that sez no where the others give a yes.

The issue wasn't making the hole, but rather the retractable cup bottom, which could possibly be not very cost effective to make. The added bulk and dimension to the thickness could have packaging and storage drawbacks . On top of that, there is a very limited practical use for the item.

I'm gonna give Doug a break on this one.
