Just heard David's new single "Crush". Really liked it it seems to be requested alot already. I see it being a big hit. Congrats Archie.

DA's song is very good. Criticism, the music is just a little loud.

David lives just 15 minutes from my home in Utah. I have not met him, but have loved watching all the local interviews he has given. My kids adore him and make fun of me because I love his music and have his fan sites bookmarked! I too love his new song "Crush" and read somewhere that it was #2 on the Billboards. Wow! Maybe by now it's #1. Can't wait for his album. It's pre-ordered! Yeah, I'm obsessed!

The video for "Crush" was just shot on August 19, 2008. The theme looks like some kind of outdoor one campground with teenagers with a pretty blond as the lead. Saw some pics on another site.

Congrats, Archie.

Not to take anything away from Archie, but you can't really compare the successes of these two singles. Does anyone believe for a moment that Cook's first song would have been "Time of My Life" if he could have chosen from any song in the world? Cook had to pick one of ten (I believe) songs as his coronation song. As did Archie. However, since Cook won, his first release was that song. If Archie's first song was the song he sang, would it have done as well as "Crush?" Probably not.

The real proof in who is the most successful will show over time. Six months to a year after they both release their CDs will say a lot. The sucess or failure of their follow-up CDs will say even more. I hope they both do very well, though.

I think both David's will do well. Both were excellent in concert. David A., "Crush" is a good song to start with.
