It's not about who has bad publicity, it's about who deserves your vote!!! And if I recall, in the beginning, Cook had a bad rap b/c he showed no emotion which came off like he was cocky/pompeous, BUT he proved all those people wrong by doing great week after week and thus earned their votes

Yes, he did, at least on the webpage. And his songs on iTunes are apparently located on David's page. I haven't looked, though.

Oh, Christensen's totally open about recording with Archuleta, at least on his own site -- there's no secret at all. Presumably this material somehow isn't covered under Archuleta's contract with AI. It's not like anyone knows what's in those contracts other than the lawyers who write them and the people who sign them.

Oh, okay... Well, once the Archangels hear about this, the Christensen kid is going to be #1 on iTunes, or somewhere near it, for sure.

I wonder whether the songs will be pulled when TPTB find out about them. They better be.

Because I like the kid I can't truly understand why people have such hatred for him. But, there are public figures I hate, and I can't understand why others love them. It's just one of those things.

I said the same thing weeks ago. David is obviously a talented kid trying his best to win this thing. There's no need to hate him, even if you prefer another person in the competition. I've questioned his song selections and styling on occasion, but I don't dislike him. I don't even dislike his dad since I don't really know the situation, although I see and hear enough to make me question his character.

Here's hoping DA is successful in whatever he does.

I don't think EITHER contestant can be considered an underdog at this point - neither was ever in the bottom 2/3, and both have been propped up at various times as "the one to beat". And I don't think Archie has a bad rap at all (other than his sometime boring singing) ... I think it's really his supporters ("Team Archuleta" as a few have posted) that is getting the bad rap.

As much as I think Cook is better than Archie, I truly think the hangers on (pops included) are doing the kid a disservice right now, and feel for the kid.

No, not me personally. But, I am sure it happens in the general public. And, not based simply on one night's comments, but having them constantly cram the same crap down the viewing audiences throat week after week after week... sure, a lot of people start to buy it, whether they really believe it or not. JMO though.

And, I am really shocked about that whole DA is an underdog think. I don't see that at all. Perhaps on this board, maybe. But, just based on the people I work with... they have NO IDEA what all is going around about DA. Yes, I realize that is a very small "sample" of folks, but I do think it is indicative that we FORTers and even included with the other boards, are in fact only a spec of the viewing public.

There is a large portion of the voting audience who do just watch the show and don't really dig up much info beyond that.

DA is hardly an underdog.

I happen to think, for the most part, the judges have reflected my views on David Archuleta from week to week.
