David A. just said in an interview that he has a bad habit of licking his lips because his lips get chapped. He said he's trying to work on that--and he's gone through a lot of chapstick.

He just left the TV station, the concentrated on him for an hour and it wasn't boring. He seemed genuinely shocked at all the attention. I still don't want him to win but he seems like a sweet kid.

I'm not saying Archuleta isn't a good singer, he is. I don't also doubt that he'd sell records, it will just be interesting to see how he develops as an artist and if he had the longevity factor, which I don't see as of now.

On Fox 13, did you see that the majority of DA's fans were very young gals 15 and under, that is nice but I doubt they will be buying his cd's.

This young man, DA, has been performing since the age of 12 or younger, he won Star Search. Many young kids, not all, that are in the spot light, public's eye know how to speak in public, to the press. Sounds like Dad is calling all the shots here. Dad has to formulate his thoughts

I'm sure they'll get their parents to buy them his album, but it'll go on repeat in the cd players for a week and that'll be that...longevity doesn't look so good for DA. But I can see why TPTB want him to win...they want a piece of the tween market that Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana is doing so well in... DA just doesn't have that stage presence that MC has, is the only problem.

Here's how it went down. "Idol" sources tell TMZ Jeff has been a complete pain in the ass, interfering with the entire production. He has badgered producers, the band, vocal coaches and even other contestants. The final straw came this week, when Jeff wanted to change the lyrics to David's first song, "Stand By Me." Jeff insisted on adding a verse from Sean Kingston's hit, "Beautiful Girls." Producers sent him an e-mail telling him the lyrics could not be changed. They were beyond pissed when David sang the song with Kingston's lyrics during the live show.

We're told by changing the lyrics, it created problems with the song's publisher and cost "A.I." a lot of money.

Jeff was ordered to sit with "A.I." lawyers on Wednesday, who told him he was "banned from being in the rooms where David was learning or rehearsing his songs." It's "Idol's" position, since David is 17, he does not need a guardian -- just a teacher. Jeff will be allowed to sit in the audience during the live show but he's 86'd from anything backstage.

Sources say the other contestants were fed up with Jeff and didn't want him near them. Now they have their wish.

All in all, sources say Jeff is the stage dad from hell. BTW, he was banned on the set when David did "Star Search" a few years back.
