I have read on other forums that the arrangement has been changed from the original ... it will have a more "contemporary" vibe. Do you think that would go over well with this song? I'm just hoping it's not one of those things like "8 days a week" where it renders the song unrecognizable and upsets everyone. Surely not, though.

I think you can cross off "All I ask of you," because ALW said he talked Carly out of doing that one (and the timeline would've been too short for David to switch songs at that point). It's in an article that I was going to link, but apparently I'm barred from adding URLs until I've been here for awhile. Just do a google search with the following keywords

I still think David A. is going to win the competition this year, but I've grown a little bored with him. I think he needs to step it up or he's going to be Melinda Doolittle'd off the show

The spoiler on the other thread is correct-he is singing Think of Me. I'm pretty excited about it, I think he will do a good job. Sorry I didn't get on sooner! I was at Disneyland with my daughter all day. I haven't heard the arrangement, but I was told it is more contemporary. I do hope it goes over well with everyone. I think this is a song he can definitely handle!

I thought his take on "Think of Me" was great. I liked how he changed up the arrangement because it complimented his singing style. The one that drives me crazy about him is that he barely sings any up-tempo songs and it gets old really quick.
