Kristy definitely robbed her of a top 10 spot and a chance to go on tour. I had amanda geting 9th place in the comp and wasn't surprised to see her go after her performance. I just think she went to early like David Hernandez did.

If I had my druthers, Asia'h or David H. would replace Kristy. I'm not at all disappointed that Amanda is out.

A little down that she's gone (and will be missing the tour, barring unforeseen scandal), but not so surprised either... I wouldn't have minded seeing her try a slower song in competition, just to hear if she could.

Don't most "rockers" have a less strident song or two in their repertoires, if only to make albums and concerts hang together coherently? Not necessarily a ballad, just something that slows things down and gives the audience a deep breath before building to the big finale number?

The taste of Amanda's concert style we got was that she'd do the same exact thing over and over for the entire set... which makes a case for the $5 cover and a couple of beers.

I really enjoyed Amanda's performance and I hope she persues her singing career I love to see perform live!

i just talked with my mom a few hours ago, and she said she read a few interviews with the vocal coaches and such;
and they all seemed to say that of the entire group, amanda had some of the best vocal technique. my mom(who's a singing teacher) said she was noticing the same thing, as far as the positioning of her mouth and not over-using her vocal chords too much, amanda was perfect.

i thought that was interesting.
and then i saw an interview with amanda, and she mentioned having a background in choir, so i have a feeling that despite what many people say, amanda actually has quite a well trained voice.
