Translation: Okay, its time for the truth to come out that the last few performances before this one really, really sucked, even though from my contemporaneous comments, you would have thought that I found them "just aight" or "just not the song I would have picked for you." Finally, though, we got one that did not suck, at least.

I don't think most people need a glossary to understand what Ryan Seacrest means when he says "THIS is A-MYER-i-can Idol" in the opening of the show, but it absolutely drives me crazy.
