Sunday night was a really big night for Carrie. Not only did she win the 3 awards at the AMA'S, but as of midnight last night So Small is the new #1 single on the Country Charts. This marks Carries first number 1 as a songwriter. I gotta believe she has a smile a mile wide.

And, on the heels of her AMA award-winning night, Carrie Underwood receives further good news this morning as her current single, “So Small,” achieves the #1 slot on Billboard and R&R’s country airplay chart. Co-penned by Underwood, Luke Laird and Hillary Lindsey, “So Small” becomes the country star’s first chart-topper as a songwriter and fifth single to go #1 on country airplay charts.

“So Small” is the first release from the reigning CMA and ACM Female Vocalist’s sophomore album Carnival Ride, which recently vaulted to #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and all-genre Billboard 200 charts with first-week sales of 527,101. Carnival Ride earned the best-selling first week of any country sophomore album since the inception of SoundScan as well as notched the largest country debut in digital album chart history, with digital sales of 44,928.

All she did this time around was walk the carpet & appear on stage. Usually the wardrobe changes come due to performing. She would have changed for an after party, but according to an atricle in the NY Post, that party was a disaster & almost no one attended. No one has been able yet to find any photos & usually they are out there in abundance.

The after-party in the adjacent parking lot was "a total mess," our spies said. One music industry insider who has gone to many award shows and after-parties said, "The door was being run by a woman who was nuts - she didn't know anyone and would literally ask people like Chris Brown, 'What do you want?' when they approached her and her many security guards. She wouldn't let Chris' friends in and refused entry to Fergie's manager. There were also problems with Will.i.am, but the sad thing was that, when you finally made it past that door beast, there was no one in there - just Chris Daughtry. It was pathetic." A rep for the AMAs didn't return our calls.
