I don't see smug with him at all. He knows that he has to bring his "A" game each week because he knows the other in this competition are great. He's said as much. I like his attitude and his style

Comparing David to Daughtry doesn't make sense to me. Rock music has so many different styles and textures and theirs are very different. It's like comparing apples and oranges to me. Personally, though I like Chris, I'd rather listen to David.

I second that emotion.

I mean, yeah, David has more in common with Daughtry than he does with Pickler. He even occupies the same space as Daughtry in the AI universe: "the rocker guy." But I can't see any further serious resemblance in voice, song choice, or performance style.

Gotta love the producers' decision to just put David and Jason in the same shot early in the group sing, causing large numbers of female viewers to faint with ecstasy, thereby making it irrelevant how the next minute or so was arranged. That's one way to deal with the horrors of the group sing.

I actually think David is more authentic rock than Daughtry.....Daughtry is more pop alternative rock......but David has more edge in there, there is something there. Now I dont particularly like him, but I have never really liked rock singers, their personality....thats what makes them seperate from the pop rock singers.

I would buy Davids CD in a heart-beat
