Thanks. Sounds like Daddy was banned from the set of Star Search years ago as well. Kind of seems to me this guy is going to make a muck of little Davie's career.

David has been groomed from early childhood to enter & win singing contests. If he was a female he would have been thoroughly raked over the coals for being to beauty pagenty, yet he is given a pass. And only now that his Dad's quirks & idiocyncracys have surfaced are folks questioning David. I have said all along that he has a fine voice, but I can't for the life of me imagine buying his album or for cryin out loud sitting through an hour of him in concert. If he wins....well...I don't see it coming to a good conclusion.

I agree completely. I think that his winning AI would be kind of like Jennifer Hudson winning an Oscar. We'd all be happy for him during the finale because something nice and happy happened in his life. Then, when AI starts up again next January, we'd all think to ourselves "wait, who won last year? Oh that's right, that nice little David boy. I wonder what ever happened to him". We'd see him sing a song sometime during the season, remember him again, then we'd move on and that would be the end of it.

razorbacker... it's funny that you mention that he would be considered pageanty if he were a girl. I think he would have also been criticized for being breathy and a one-trick pony, too, but somehow he's been given a pass. And it's interesting to think back that former Idols that he considers his role models are Tamyra Gray, Jennifer Hudson, and Jordin Sparks. Odd choices for him, I think.

It was high time they got rid of WonderBoy's pushy stage daddy. I'm mildly curious to see how he'll do all by his lonesome now that he has no extra help from daddy dearest. Changing the lyrics without permission was outrageous in my opinion and if I were AI I would demand that he pay back every penny of what they had to spend because Horror Dad decided all on his own to breach copyright. I bet he even thought he'd get away with it.
