Re: David Archuleta - Season 7

I feel sad for him for forgetting the lyrics, however, as much as the anti-D.Archuleta-ranters would like to see him go this week, I doubt that he'll go. Perhaps another 2 or 3 royally screwed performance, then we'll see a Latoya-London kinda boot for him, then again Carrie Underwood has a few painful performances, Jordin's performance is not all that wow, Taylor Hicks... uh... so yeah, my point is, NONE of the winners had been a steady consistent performer, it's what being human all about. Go David!

Re: David Archuleta - Season 7

David's early-teen fan base will make sure that he goes onto the Idol Tour.
So thats at least one more week.
Hopefully, after that the people will realize how one dimensional he is, and his ratings go south.
All the way to Antarctica.

Re: David Archuleta - Season 7

i see him possibly working the clay aiken type fan base once AI is over. he's not cool or edgy enough to keep the teens and young adults. his fanbase is probably really young tweens age 12 and under or older females , think 45 +.

yeah. thats exactly what i mean, you sorta like him and i bet a lot of people do who are between those ages i mentioned. but are you and others going to shell out cash for his cd or buy tickets to see him tour on his own? probably not. at least the majority wont.

i don't see 20 somethings lining up to buy his album, nor do i see teens 16 + doing so either (seriously when i was that age the david archuleta types weren't cool, he still isn't but hehe at that age its all about having a bit of rebellion. kids these days are into tpain, fall out boy and similar crap.). so thats why i said really young kids like 12 and under and the older females who dig his nice clean cut image.

Re: David Archuleta - Season 7

I feel bad for him. He didn't ask for all the enormous praise thrown his way. It's tough to live up to being "perfect" all the time. Maybe this was the best thing to happen to him - maybe they'll stop thinking he is perfect, and he will relax a bit. Give the kid a break - he is only 17.

I assure you that a 45 year old woman is on the verge of becoming very edgy as she approaches menopause, so I'd be careful about calling her old and uncool.

There is nothing magical about that age that makes one suddenly and uncontrollably swoon for puppy dogs or 17 year old boys.

Re: David Archuleta - Season 7

i didn't mean to offend anyone or to insinuate that ALL or even a lot of older women would be into him. what i meant was i see david having the same type of fan base as somebody like clay aiken. when i think of clay aiken i don't think young 20 something aged fans although he probably does have some, i think older women. just to make sure i googled clay aiken fans on youtube and it pretty much confirmed the idea i had in my mind about what clays fan base. thats not a knock on those people just pointing something out or is to say that youtube video represents ALL of his fans, of course.

Oh puhlease, his whole act has "look at me mommy, what a nice kid I am" written all over.
Ask a psychologist.
The audience is "mommy", and expected to give praise and awww.
