I wasn't thrilled with his song choice (Do I Do) but at least he chose something upbeat and energetic after a lot of boring balladfs. He was still probably my favorite last night.

I wish he'd lose the hat every now and then too.

He's so charismatic and great. And he is hott! Not like overbearingly though, just cute. I can't see him singing a really serious slow song though...

I liked Mario's singing before last night, but his latest performance just didn't do it for me. I know I'm in the minority on this one, but it was so choreographed that it seemed an "affected" performance. Every motion and grunt just looked too rehearsed, and he didn't connect with me at all.

He is REALLY good-looking!

I think I'll take back what I said about the guys being ugly, but I still think that there are more pretty girls than cute guys.

His latest performance was good... but it just wasn't up to the same calibre as his other performances. It seemed kinda sloppy to me, not rehearsed enouph. He missed a few notes that were kinda obvious also.

Although I definitely see Mario in the finals, l wasn't as impressed with last night's performance as most people seem to be. Granted, none of my favorites wowed me last night...with one possible exception. And while it was nice to have a change of pace from all the ballads and see someone actually focus on a total performance, the one big negative for me about was all the "c'mon everybody" stuff. Just a pet peeve of mine !

I'm not sure that you are in the minority. Mario is a talented performer, but he seemed too slick, too remote for some folks.

I just listened to the performances again, and I liked Mario much better without the visuals. His stage act was really too much, and made me dislike his whole performance. I am still not saying that I would think his was the best performance, but he was not as bad as I initially thought. Maybe he did deserve some of the praise afterall
