| Well, I'm already tired of hearing about it. He's gone and there are 12 other American Idol contestants who are trying to earn our votes. I would prefer that Mario had gone quietly instead of flaunting himself on all the talk shows with his little "I've got a secret" attitude.

| I thought I'd miss Mario last night, but I really didn't. He'd impressed me in the competition and while the show was crying out for a good performance, particularly in the first half, once Nadia and Bo and then Scott performed the show picked up for me. I'd like to know the reason he quit because I'm trunky and I just think it would be good for him to tell the fans, who had already invested time in his career, why he had bowed out. His decision though. He seems happy enough with his decision to quit. I hope he manages to sort out whatever it is he needs to focus on and can get back to his music career. | |

| Here in NYC it's been Mario 24/7 in the media. whatever his reason is, it has nothing to do with the Idol contract because the producers all give him support in his decision. Why would they support something AGAINST AI. There's talk about Michael Jackson ties now.....But I believe it's something that HAPPEND to him personally. One thing I would like to know is why he was in Las Vegas on Saturday attending the Alicia Keyes concert? Who gave him this "gift" It seems like AI should start following NCAA rules re: draft picks...no influencing or luring of AI semi-finalists by record/management companies with "gifts" like trips & concerts. |

| Silverback presents an interesting and well thought out possibility. It might not be true, but Silverback does put forth an interesting "What if." |

As for Clay.. I am in no way or shape an Aiken fan but have to admit one thing: Clay went through the WHOLE competition, through EACH and EVERY stage of it, taking humiliation from those three stoooges remarks time after time. He deserves the fame he gets. As for Mario.... WHO IS THAT??? | |

| From the sound of it , someone leaned on Mario to quit as soon as that album got re released. I'm sure "personal reasons" were right out of the Idol machines mouth ie. he was told what to say. Good for him if he turns it around on them. I think there will be a lot more to come.At least it's not porn or some other distasteful past history. |
