| I wonder what his "personal" reasons were? I was thinking that maybe a record company offered him a good deal that would be better than being under contract to 19 Entertainment (Simon Fuller's company) and he left to pursue something more advantageous to him. Just a thought. Clay left Fuller's company not to long ago because he wasn't being paid enough and now he is making a lot more money. It will be interesting to see what follows. Nikko was a good person to bring back and I think that he deserves the second chance. In some ways I thought that he was better than Mario. I hope that it doesn't come out that Mario had some legal problem that caused him to withdraw.

| i am totally dissapointed and very very sad to know mario withdraw from the show...all of us expect he might be won the competition...but he just..just left us without any"good"excuses,i think personal reason is not a very good reason....we vote for him...we spend our time..and our money too to support him to make through to the top 12..but...all the things that we had done is wasting now...so sad... I am very pity to fans who had done the supportive board for mario...coz they cannot show it in the competition anymore.... Damm...my feeling is really down..can we do something just bring back Mario?is it impossible?

| I dont wanna judge on what his personal reasons might be until if he decides to let America know. I really do hope that like Corey, Mario makes a small explanation video clip to show at the start of the show, just for his fans, but if he doesnt and his withdrawal is not explained - then hopefully everyone will respect that. But I would actually worry more if he didnt reveal why he left - if it was something serious, he might not want the whole public knowing. I just wish people would wait and see what happens with the reason for withdrawing before deciding wether or not it was a clever move or not.

| I find it hard to believe that his reason for leaving is all rosey with the producers. When have they ever updated the website immediately with changes? ![]() Even when Frenchie left it took them several days to get the website updated. This isn't as "we're disappointed, but supportive" as they are trying to portray.

WORD, speedbump! I said the same thing, only longer, on the thread specifically about his quitting. IF this is the case, what a User and a Loser!

| I heard Nigel Lythgoe talking about the situation on Good Day LA this morning, he said that he and the other producer met with Mario for a couple of hours and that they were convinced that Mario had very good reasons for leaving and they wished him all the best. He was very complimentary of Mario's talents and abilities and said that there was NOT a problem with the contract because all of the contracts had been signed. He says it is personal and he did withdraw before he started the finals and had people even more vested in his competition. He gives Nikko the chance to come back and I for one am going to believe the best about Mario until it is proven otherwise and I don't mean by a rumour but proof. Amazing how nasty some people can be without knowing the facts. |

| This is a big surprise. Mario is considered to be one of the contenders and were expecting to be in the top 4. I do not see any other good reason to quit. The only reason I can think of is that he must gotten a deal much better than AI can offer. I'm sure he was fully aware of the AI contract beforehand. He might as well used AI just to get exposure and probably had some contract in the making prior. Too bad, I'd rather see Scott or Constantine quit because they are the worst two among the guys. |
