| Am I the only one who thinks Mario kinda looks like Prince? (Not that these screencaps particularly highlight that, but I thought you folks might enjoy them.)

| Here is some info from http://www.mario-online.org/ -Mario was a backup singer for Michael Jackson's "Invincible" album. -His official nickname is "Pupi" - Given to him by his mother Ada -He attended Laguardia High School in the Bronx -He use to belong to a youth group for inner city kids that toured New York and did skits with positive messages. The group was called "City Kids Repertory Group". -Mario has also done varius gigs around the city such as being a wedding singer. -He carries around good luck charms while in Hollywood, varoius items such as change, letters and cards given to him from his friends back home in NY. -People Magazine has titled Mario as "The Bronx Belter". -Mario considers himself as he said in People Magazine "a struggling artist". -Mario previously auditioned for American Idol two years ago but was turned away because he was overage for the competion by two months. - Mario has been singing all his life and was constantly encouraged to sing and persue singing by his mother , who is obvoiusly his biggest fan. -He considers his mother as his Americal Idol |

| Mario was my favorite from the Hollywood rounds. Since then, he's been losing luster for me. I don't know why. Now he's fallen into the large void of "not Anwar, Bo, or Nadia" for me. Come on, Mario! Pick it back up! Although I don't want him to win the competition anymore, i'd be sad to see him go- he does bring a welcome energy to the stage.

| I don't think he sounds like Justin at all. He looks sort of like him, but he definetely CAN sing better than Justin and he doesn't look shy like Justin. He is a hard worker, Ross told me that in Hollywood when they were roomate, Mario asked him to practice singing every night before they went to bed. That shows me something, that he really wants this ![]() |

| i think mario is very polished, sings in tune, and is a nice guy, but i usually feel nothing when i hear him sing. last night, however, i thought he did really well with "how can you mend a broken heart." i knew he was going to sing the song, but didn't expect much at all...especially after ruben's version last year. but, wow, he did that song justice. ruben's version kind of made you melt, mario's version made me think of young love. anyways...mario voice still is not something i'm really excited about, by last night's performance was wonderful. he deserves a spot in the top 12. |

Mario should do well with the Theme nights because he has a good voice and presents confidence on stage! Nice job. ![]() | |
