| You can say that again. And never once did any of us hear her complain about doing it!!! I hope they come out with an awesome sophmore album for her. She certainly deserves it.

| I won't even speculate on this one other than to say I certainly hope she gets nominated but I don't want to get expectations to high. But, one thing I can tell you is that we won't have to wait too long. Nominations are announced tomorrow. |

| It was another big week for Carrie on the sales front. She had only a 17% drop off from last week & finished this week at #13 on the Billboard Top 200 charts. But, the truly amazing thing is that she has, in week 55, regained the #1 spot on the Country Charts. Truly an amazing run. And look out for next week. I have a feeling that the Billboard awards could propel sales even more. And if she were to get some Grammy nods tomorrow that would put the wind in the sales even more. Just 31k short of 4 million in sales. 13 CARRIE UNDERWOOD SOME HEARTS 84342 Total 3969045 On the singles front, as of the afternoon update, BHC stands at #3, but Tim McGraw with My Little Girl looks poised to pass her any time. Wasted sits at #58, Starts With Goodbye at #78,Inside Your Heaven at #103,The Star Spangled Banner at #117,Crying from AI at #143,& I Ain’t In Checotah Anymore at #199. So Carrie has the Country Charts pretty well covered this week. lw TW Artist Title TW lw Move Aud Imp. 1 1 RASCAL FLATTS My Wish 5131 4854 277 44.979 2 2 SUGARLAND Want To 4958 4796 162 42.596 3 3CARRIE UNDERWOOD Before He Cheats 4610 4678 -68 41.579 |

| Wasn't there someone from Canada asking about Carrie coming to their Country? Well it looks like you will get your chance to see her next Summer if you are near Saskatchewan. http://www.canada.com/reginaleaderpo...e-a2f5edfa55de Quote: It just keeps getting better Gerry Krochak, The Leader-Post Published: Thursday, December 07, 2006 Organizers of the 2007 Craven Country Jamboree will be delivering an early Christmas present to the country music fans of Saskatchewan during a press conference to be held this morning at Casino Regina. With a lineup that can only be described as rife with multiple country music award winners, new country stars and seasoned veterans, once again the Craven Big Valley will host the party of the summer this July 12-15. An outstanding balance of some of the biggest and the hottest acts available will only further the Jamboree's reputation as one of the finest country music festivals anywhere -- and it's a festival we can call our own. Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich, Lorrie Morgan, The Road Hammers, Marty Stuart, Glen Campbell, The Kentucky Headhunters, Ronnie Milsap, Shevy Smith, Brad Johner and your hosts Williams & Ree will be announced today, with several more headliners to be announced in coming weeks ... any questions? Some might question the return of Big & Rich in 2007, but there was really no keeping these guys away. John Rich, Big Kenny and their circus sideshow had such a swell time in 2006 that they have become ambassadors of the Craven Country Jamboree. They asked to come back and organizers said ... OK! Love 'em or hate 'em, get used to 'em -- it looks like this could become an annual thing. The story gets better -- Big Kenny has even written a song about Craven called "Hillbilly Woodstock." The number will likely appear on the group's next album and you will most assuredly hear it when the group takes the stage on July 14. Last year's record numbers for acts such as Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Randy Travis, Sawyer Brown and, of course, Big & Rich will surely fall when you consider the consistency of this year's lineup. Bottom line? McEntire is an entertainment icon and country music superstar -- hell, she appeals to people who don't even like music! Wilson and Underwood represent the 2005 and 2006 CMA Female Vocalists Of The Year, respectively. And mid-afternoon and early evening performers such as The Road Hammers, The Headhunters and several more yet-to-be-confirmed veteran acts (two of whom headlined Craven back when it was known as The Big Valley Jamboree) create a tremendous middle that will go far in attracting the widest audience possible. Lorrie Morgan might be one of the festival's biggest surprises -- the '90s superstar has been in the recording studio and reviews from recent shows have been outstanding. 2006 has been the greatest year ever for large-scale live entertainment in our city and province, and next year's Craven Country Jamboree will only build on that momentum for 2007. Although Saskatchewan music fans are only now understanding the "value" of arts and entertainment, the Craven Country Jamboree is hands-down the best entertainment value out there. The Rolling Stones introduced us to the $300 concert ticket earlier this fall, but more to the point in this instance, a single Reba McEntire ticket at the Las Vegas Hilton (the place she's been gigging lately) will run you $138 or $225 (all prices USD and do not include taxes and service charge). There are a limited number of four-day Craven Country Jamboree passes (under 500 we are told) still available for $119, once they're sold they go to $129. Get them now before someone figures out this must be some kind of pricing error. See you next summer. |
