| razorbacker, thanks for listing Carrie's awards - I had no idea she has won so many from all the different award programs. I hope her next album is just as successful - if not more so! |

It would be interesting to see Carrie move to Broadway and act in Oklahoma. She'd be a natural. BTW, Jennifer Hudson is getting Oscar buzz for "Dreamgirls." WtG AI alums!

I firmly believe that she has such a great team behind her that she may be able to side step some of these issues. Mark Bright has already let it slip that he will be back as her producer on her next album. He was responsible for all the more Country sides with Jesus, Don't Forget, Before He Cheats & Wasted. The Country audience is also more liable to stick with her than a Pop fan base might be, & this leads me to believe that the next album will have a more Country feel & some of the Dann Huff Pop type of stuff may be left off. But, win lose or draw on the next album, Carrie has had a year than many people would sell there soul for. And the great thing about her is that she has remained grounded & humble & in awe of everything that has happened. Just one brief example, last week she was sick with a cold. She had a solo concert at a casino in California. She couldn't do the whole show because her throat just wouldn't let her. So after the show she came back on stage & appologized to everyone for having to skip some stuff, but she agreed to stay after & sign autographs, take photos & talk with everybody. She stayed for a full 2 hrs. Not too many others would have done that. Her fans loved it & forgave her for the shortened show. That is the way to build a lasting career.

| It seems as though Carrie has some high profile fans. http://countrynation.com/ Well, how about that? -- Over the weekend, Carrie Underwood performed at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, DC, where she joined Kenny Rogers for a duet of "Islands in the Stream" in tribute to honoree Dolly Parton. Attending a White House pre-show reception for performers and honorees, Carrie and mom Carole Underwood found an informal host in the ever-gracious Vince Gill, who escorted them through the party. Actor Tom Hanks came over to introduce himself and his wife to the Underwoods, speaking very humbly and kindly to Carrie as if she, rather than he, were the longtime star that everyone would know. Afterward, Carole looked to her daughter and said, "Well, how about that?" On another subject, rumors are swirling based on a blog entry that Carrie will be performing on Dec. 16 at Sustainer Theatre. Now doing some Google searches the only Sustainer Theatre to be found is in Iraq. The concert is sponsored by the USO but information is going to be hard to come by since these shows are done with little or no publicity. The Blog is maintained by a soldier in Iraq writing to his kids, so it all seems to fit. I’m not sure of the rules for posting blog addresses so I won’t just in case it’s not legal. PS: BB thanks for all the photos you post. You are great. |

| razorbacker, do you think Carrie will be nominated for (and win) a Grammy? Isn't a Grammy the 'ultimate' award? |
