| Here's what I don't get. Bo stays on (his issue is non-relevant to AI as far as I'm concerned) but Frenchie was booted for Porn. Who decided to play the moral card here? Either ALL of them be kicked off for illegal issues or none of them. |

The producers I guess use their discretion when deciding who to keep and who to boot. They have the money and power - they decide. You can still not vote for someone if you don't like them. | |

| I think the whole issue is that...Bo disclosed this information at the time he applied and evidently Frenchie did not. I would think the producers would want their legal team to look into the items they divulge and be ready to respond if and when it becomes public. Their publicity people can respond accordingly as they have done and everyone moves on. It is embarrasing and difficult to respond to and puts a "black eye" on the show if they are blindsided by it not knowing the facts. What is interesting to me is the timing of when this stuff if released and by whom? Why did all this not surface weeks ago...why now? Had this come out in the first few weeks would it have had the same effect? |

| Not all illegal activities are comparable in a moral sense. (Some states regulate what kind of sex you can legally have with your spouse.) I think TPTB at AI found out after Frenchie's disclosure that the website for which she posed was linked to "kiddie porn." If that's the case, I can understand why they thought having their potential Idol tied in the media to such a site would hurt the show's image a lot more than the idea of a pop or rock music Idol having been busted for a misdemeanor marijuana charge. (Don't forget: Bo does not have a record for cocaine possession or use or for marijuana posession.) Real "kiddie porn" is not a victimless crime. Anyway, the 19E folks did offer Frenchie some sort of contract and she was able to use her brief exposure (no pun intended) on the show to jump start her career. (The one I think really got shafted was Vanessa Olivarez.)

| I agree about the kiddie porn. I hadn't heard about it. |
