i have no place in dealing criticism on anyone's drug use. he did coke, so did i. he smoked pot, so did i.

and newsflash people, so do LOTS of people in the music industry. this won't influence my thoughts on him

I guess Bo's druggy past doesn't phase me that much. I sort of assumed there was some recreational drug use. The "rehab" part gives me pause because it indicates fairly serious usage, but it really has no affect on my reaction to his singing.

I thought he was fantastic on Tuesday. I love that song, and I thought he did it justice. I sort of hope he wins now so that he is forced to be the cheesy AI winner. Snerk. Since Connie was voted out, Bo's "whatever" attitude smarts a little more. I want to see Mr. I Gotta Do My Thing, Man indentured to the AI PTB. Hee.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I think 19E will exercise its option to record Constantine. Same for Bo or Carrie, regardless whether they win. 19E has the option of "indenturing" any of the Top 10 finalists.

Having grown up in the 70's I guess I have just become jaded to the drug use issue. Certainly it would be best to avoid them, but realistically speaking that is a large part of what the Rock & Roll scene is all about. Bo made mistakes, paid the price, has grown & is now trying to move on with his life. I give him credit for getting himself together & wish him luck.

Ill clarify my point. Im not surprised that someone has done things in their past that they wished they hadnt; we all do. At the same time, people shouldnt be surprised when they are judged by the things they have done. People do drugs and its a shame because it not only affects them but others around them; but if they get treatment, thats wonderful. You just have to live by the decisions you made and roll with them. When you become a public figure, everything (within limits) is fair game. Its the price of fame, unfortunately sometimes.
