| For the sake of clarity and consistency, I wonder if the people calling Scott a wife beater (I was indeed harsh on him) is excusing Bo? If this were marijuanna, that would be one thing (im a relativist), but cocaine? |

| Much like Scott's past didn't bother me, nor will Bo's. People make mistakes. Each of these men did something wrong, paid the price, and notified the producers of their pasts. Why can't America let dead dogs die? |

Well said, Pillbeam! We as individuals can be so judgemental when it is not up to us to judge. I too have had some indiscetions from my past and hope that my life does not reflect it but I know that I have learned something from them. Enough to know that I would not make that mistake again. Now, I'm talking about my younger ends which was more than 20 years ago being that I'm now in my early 40s. Hopefully and it seems to me that Bo is turning his life around by going through a program and my trying to be a successful musical artist by being on American Idol. I admire him for doing this. He was able to admit that he made a big mistake and he is probably trying to forget about it, so we should too. | |

Well said, pillbeam. Life happens - people make mistakes, some learn and move on. I don't personally research someones background or proclivities before I decide whether or not to listen to their music. Not for me to judge someone's personal life, any more than I'd want them to judge mine. Most of my music collection would probably be gone if anyone who had ever experimented with drugs didn't make and sell music. To the people who are shocked/ disappointed/ no longer going to vote for Bo (which seems, at least here, to be a minority of posters): what artists do you listen to - whose music do you purchase? And, have you done complete background checks/ verified arrest histories/ gone looking for skeletons in all of their closets???? Riiiight.

How could they have "fessed up" to the situation? I don't get it. ![]()
