| http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lindsey_Cardinale Lindsey Cardinale From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Lindsey Cardinale (born February 14, 1985) was a contestant on the 2005 season of American Idol and is from Ponchatoula, Louisiana. She is a university student who also plays guitar, piano and drums. She is a major in radiology in college. Cardinale auditioned in New Orleans with Karla Bonoff's "Standing Right Next to Me". In the Hollywood rounds, she sang "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch" (along with semi-finalist Melinda Lira and fellow finalist Jessica Sierra), and "The Woman in Me." She went on to the three-round semi-finals composed of the top 12 girls and top 12 guys. There she sang "Standing Right Next to Me", "I Try To Think About Elvis", and "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing". She made it to the top 12 alongside 11 others. On March 16, 2005, she was the first of the final 12 contestants from AI Season 4 to be voted off after her performance of "Knock on Wood" during the 1960s-theme music week. She appeared at Ponchatoula's Strawberry Festival shortly after her elimination where she thanked her hometown for their contributions that helped her place 12th out of 100s of thousands of auditions. She was included on a charity album with the other 11 finalists to benefit Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund. She is working her way into the singing business by trying to find a record deal with some of her companies.

| There is an article today listed at Sir Links that says Lindsey Cardinale performed for hometown fans at the Louisiana Strawberry Festival last weekend. They said that the AI contract has not let her release a CD or sing at festivals etc. until recently. She could play drums, which I did not know she did, but not be a vocalist.. She has a "maxi single" out that includes two brand new songs, "Drive" (cowritten by Gretchen Wilson) and "Nothin' Like a Dream" You can buy the maxi-single at Lindsey's performances and it seems you will soon be to download them at Lindsey's website and hear them on her My Space page. Also on the Idol Waves online radio station. She is planning to release a full-length CD in 2007 and says that a Grammy Award winner is going to produce it. The article at Beavers On Idol describes the two original songs and gives some of the lyrics. I did not post a link because I am not sure if the site is one we can link to here. But the Sir Links link is at the top of this page. Lindsey looks very beautiful on her maxi single cover! |

| bbnbama....i think i got the same impression as enya windo that lindsey just got cleared to actually sing just recently but she could play instruments (drums) and stuff but just couldnt sing. well thats what i got from reading her myspace site, i think that was the site i read it from. she does have a beautiful voice. really wanted her to stay for a while to hear more of her voice but her song selections werent that great. didnt show off her voice but you definitely can hear the potential. as for her 2 songs thats on her site. i really really like "nothin like a dream" and didnt care for the co-penned "driven" with wilson. we'll see how her cd comes out next year, if i like more than half the album ill buy it, if not ill just purchase which ever songs i like. my four faves were all of country flavor (i just wanted something different from the typical r&b power house singing) - carrie, bo, lindsey, and jessica.

| Re: Lindsey Cardinale LINDSEY CARDINALE--PRESS RELEASE. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE COUNTRY POWERHOUSE LINDSEY CARDINALE SIGNS WITH ARIA RECORDS "American Idol" Finalist Set to Record Debut Album in Nashville Nashville – Already familiar to millions of television viewers, "American Idol" finalist Lindsey Cardinale has signed with Aria Records Nashville, and the Hammond, Louisiana native is preparing to record her debut album in Nashville. "Lindsey Cardinale is an amazing artist, and one of the strongest, most compelling female vocalists I've ever heard," says Aria Records President Barbara Farkas. "She's also an important addition to the Aria Records family of artists, and we couldn't be more proud and excited." Back in 2004, the then 19-year-old Cardinale auditioned for "American Idol" in New Orleans, singing Karla Bonoff's "Standing Right Next to Me." She sang her way into the top12 before being voted off the show. During her time on the show, in addition to befriending another small town country singer – fourth season winner Carrie Underwood – Cardinale learned a lot of important lessons. "I definitely learned a lot on "American Idol," not only about professionalism and going onstage, but I also learned that this business isn't always a walk in the park," Cardinale says. "It's hard work and long days, and I'm really glad that I had that experience, It made me stronger." Country singers just don't come any stronger than Cardinale. Onstage and in the studio, she pours her all into every performance. She recently joined fellow Aria Records artist Stephen Cochran for a stirring duet vocal performance on "Let it Rain." The ballad is included on Cochran's just-released Aria debut. And as far as her own debut album is concerned, she can hardly wait to get started. "It's really unbelievable, because this is something I've wanted since I was a little girl," Cardinale says. "I know that sounds cliché, but it's really true. It's an amazing feeling, and I'm very excited to be working with the great team at Aria." MySpace.com Blogs - Lindsey Cardinale MySpace Blog |

| Re: Lindsey Cardinale Country music, imo, is the way that struggling artists seem to go for to get their start. Is it easier to break into? Seems like it is. |
