I love that song, but when you're used to hearing it on Broadway with adults... and the topic is pretty adult, dying of AIDS etc.

But I DO love that song!

LOL! I usually don't have a problem with teens singing "adult" songs, but Seasons of Love is DEFINITELY not something I want to hear coming from a 9-year-old's mouth. This is a brilliant piece when done with passion and conviction - something I just don't think these kids could muster for a song that they cannot possibly relate to.

So I'm guessing you have to see RENT to know that its about dying from AIDS? Because I sure didn't get that... lol

It has no lyrics that suggest it was about AIDS.

that's funny, because i knew it was about AIDS, but since most people don't, and the lyrics don't suggest it was about AIDS, it doesn't bother me. LOL, it just makes me laugh that this song bothers me, but love songs don't! I absolutely love this song, and hearing a 9 year old sing it would not bother me.
    Congratulations Tori and Taylor!

and yes, you'd have to see rent to understand the meaning of the song. An awesome production if I do say so myself...
    Congratulations Tori and Taylor!
