The best place in Canada is...
I honestly don't think she has a chance of making it, the audience mostly young viewers i think won't vote for her, even if she has one of her best performances, she's much too different for the teen viewers.
I think the audience is smarter than that. Clay, Ruben, and K-Lo weren't exactly Teen Beat matierial either. If she blows us away with a rendition of a popular song, then I don't see why people won't vote for her.
I think the problem with Jenny is that the clip they showed of her first audition seemed to cut off most the song. She didn't get to show the range in her voice (if she has any). So the amount of praise she got didn't seem proportional to the quality of performance we saw.
LOL. She does look crazy in that pic though!
Oh yes she looks like she's gonna eat me!
You see K.Lo has an amazing voice and she very pretty, Ruben he's just soo cool and he has such a nice voice, Clay he's the cute kid with a fantastic voice.
Jenny she has extreme facial expressions and i didn't even think her voice was that great, Clay K.Lo and Ruben all had great voices, and you could tell once they opened there mouths. With Jenny i thought the judges were going to ridicule her on her first audition but i was very surprised when they praised her so greatly. You see when i first heard her sing i thought she was terrible, i re watched her audition and i still thought she was terrible.
I just don't see it :

I'd have to agree with this. Originally posted by Siso I honestly don't think she has a chance of making it, the audience mostly young viewers i think won't vote for her, even if she has one of her best performances, she's much too different for the teen viewers.
I loved the fact that she was feeling the music when she was singing during her audition, I can't see her connecting with the audience as she doesn't appear to make eye contact very often.
I can't see that going down too well with tv viewers, although jazz club patrons might well see that as a sign that she is really into the performance.
This might not be the best avenue for her.
I watched her audition again and I have to say I was wrong about the editing. They showed pretty much her whole performance. Doesn't change my stance. I think she could make it if she has a great performance. Her wild gestures make her unique and standout more than the rest of her comp.

I think she can make it as a singer, I'm just not sure f this is the best outlet.
I guess we shall see over the coming weeks.
During the judges' deliberations...
Jake: "Jenny's awesome. We all know that."
Sass: "She can either be stunning or not so good."
Zack: "I cannot, personally, in my heart of hearts, send home somebody who I personally feel is potentially one of the top three or four singers I've ever seen in my life."
Got this from the recap on the official site: http://www.ctv.ca/generic/WebSpecial...ecaps-ep4.html
Jenny's lower register really comes through in the audio I posted in the mp3 thread. Something I couldn't detect in her TV performance. I gotta say that song and her rendition of it is starting to grow on me. Emotional yet very off-kilter and unique.
