I don't really know about her... I wouldn't say she was in my top 5...
I thought she sucked to begin with, and she did indeed suck last night. I ranked her last in my book.
Hmmm...sucked is an interesting way to state your feelings toward a 12-year-old contestant. Not the way I'd have said it about the kids who weren't my favorites...but that's just me!
Julie did well. Could do better though.
>The song choice? Most people didn't get the song.
She sings nice and in my opinion I would want her to go to the next round, but to succeed through the rest of the show she has to:
>Be a little nervous.
>Work and compare her appearances on TV and critique herself.
Her positives things though are the fact that she looks at competition in a good way.
I think that the song choice wasn't the best, but she should get a second chance because she can really belt it!! A faster song would have been better for her. Hopefully i'll get to hear her on one! *fingers crossed!*
Her singing was solid for the most part but she was a little stiff and lacked facial expression.
Go here to here a great recording of her singing "I Believe"
"I'll Always Believe"
I think she deserves a second chance becuase she is good.
I think nerves took over on voting night. Julie sounded just awesome in the auditions and I was quite surprised she didn't pull it off when it counted. She seemed a little unsure and definitely picked the wrong song (or do they pick them? Perhaps the songs are just given to each kid). Anyway...she didn't get a chance to shine in my opinion.
And yes "Sucks" is a terrible word to use when it comes to kids this young...don't forget, THEY have computers too and I'm sure they take time to read the boards.
