I'd turn that statement around, Krom. i.e. We're not hearing what he does. It really sounds soooo different in the studio, I'm surprised that we at home ever agree with the judges.

His instincts always seem much more on target on the little stage, and then at the very end.

Syesha didn't suck. It just wasn't that great. For one thing, of ALL the Beatles songs she could pick... why that one? Just BECAUSE she could make an Earth Wind & Fire song out of it? That's not a great reason to pick a lesser song.
From what the singing coach said they only had a choice of 25 songs. I have a feeling not many of them translates to R&B well. Unfortunately the EWF version of this song is more of an instrumentation song rather than a singer's song.

    Chikie does "She's a Woman".

From the Blue Ridge mountains to College Dude on crack.

    Hell, no.

    ETA:

    Note to Chikie . . .

If this is the best you got, dude, PLEASE go back to feeling people up at LAX.

Sounds kinda like Randy took a pull off whatever's in Paula's cup.

    And Simon agrees?

    Whoah.
