I thought Taylor did great last night. I love his dancing! I dont get why Simon kept saying its a singing competition not a dance competition. Singing yes is the most important but you still have to put on a show. Taylor put on a show last night!

Taylor sings well, and his dancing just goes along naturally with a musician who knows music well....and has natural rhythm. This guy has it all, as far as I'm concerned.

Taylor was totally karaokie last night; you could find a performance like that at any local bar. He looked like a middle-aged, drunkened, bar-hopper. I was not impressed. Simon was SO right with his critique.

You must really like Simon, because you basically quote him here. I have been to my share of local bars, and I have never seen anything like the magic Taylor brings to the music in one of them.

If I paid money for a performance like that, I would ask for my money back
I have seen better performances in Casino lounges than that!

I had another thought about Taylor. Simon and the other judges keep saying Chris is the one "who knows who he is a performer."

I think no one more than Taylor knows who he is on that stage. Not matter whether he's singing '50s music, Elton John or Michael McDonald, he always brings his distinct, hot, soul-man personality to the mix. And it is that consistent sensibility (coupled with his positive energy) that has kept him, so far, a front-runner of this contest.

    Taylor Fan

I'm a Taylor fan and although I admit I was disappointed - everyone has an off night. But I still think he has that certain magic you will never find at your local bar.

I just finished listening to Billy Joel sing "Piano Man" and I thought it would be perfect for Taylor. The harmonica in the background etc.

I hope he picks the right song next week.

I have loved Taylor since the beginning, since his very first audition. I watched for him during the Hollywood rounds. He has yet to disappoint me. I wish he had picked a different song last night, but for me, it was still a good performance, and I could definately watch it again and again. My editor, who was a teenager in the 50s, said she felt like he almost became Buddy Holly last night.

Just as Taylor was winning me over after last week's performance, he bombs big time last night! He didn't sound good and he certainly NEVER looks good when he dances. Some people just don't look right dancing, there is something very awkward about their bodies. Anyway, his performance was the worst of the night and he should be in the bottom 3.
