What's in your CD player right now? My "American Idol Songs for Hollywood"
What's your favorite type of music? I dig everything! Right now I'm into punk!

When did you first start to sing?
18 months. Jingle Bells in bath.

Do you have any formal singing training?
Helen Joy Young Entertainers from 6-14 years. Performed at White House, Clinton.

What other talents do you have?
    Dancing, cheerleading, theatre.

If you donít make it on AMERICAN IDOL, what will you do?
I will finish high school and move to New York!

What are your personal goals in life?
Whatever I end up doing I just want to be successful!

What album would your friends be surprised you own?
I'm a little whacky! Nothing I do "surprises" my friends.

    Who is your AMERICAN IDOL?
My mother. She really is a great mother and woman.

Do you have any rituals or things you do each time before you perform?
I say a prayer, call my ma and go pee.

    Favorite male pop artist?
Really don't have one. Older Michael Jackson.

    Favorite female pop artist?
    Alicia Keys.

    Most embarrassing moment?
I was at a party. I went to the bathroom. When I came out my friend said my skirt was stuck in my panties! Oh God!

What has been your proudest moment in life so far?
Making the top 24 of American Idol.

If you couldn't sing, which talent would you most like to have?
I wish I could play the piano. Maybe even a little clogging!

What is your definition of an AMERICAN IDOL?
    Mikalah Gordon

Who is your favorite judge and why?
Simon. Because he's very honest. I respect that.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I'm pretty weird and unique. Everything I do is surprising. But I'm not stuck up at all.

How has this changed your life?
I have learned a lot. Especially about the "business". Hurry up and wait.

Do you have any lucky charms?
My rosary, my Aunt Frannie's ring.

Who are your heroes in life?
My mother. She's a strong single mother.

What's been your toughest obstacle in life?
Switching to different and many schools, and the divorce of my parents.

Do you think the audition process was fair?
I think some aspects were and were not.

If you win, who will you thank first?
    God, then my mother.

Without wishing to sound mean, I was pleased to see her crying in the waiting area before she got her verdict last night.
It actually made her seem more human.
She had seemed almost too confident for my liking earlier on and seeing her just as anxious as everyone else made me warm to her a lot.
Of course her mega-talking when she got through irritated me and took me back to square one with her.

I'm just not sure how the public will take to her.
She's had plenty of airtime so far, but that can be a curse as well as a blessing if the public don't like you.

I agree, it will be interesting because already from reading tyhe show discussion threads it seems to me that people either really like or dislike not only her but also her voice.

I love that she's confident, but that confidence does seem to slide into obnoxious at times.

    Thanks for the welcome Fluff!

I agree with you; I find her to be obnoxious at times. It is good to have confidence but she it to over the top for me. She is young though so that might work in her favor. Remember Carmen Rasmussen and Jas Trias? They carried the youth vote.

Yeah, but Carmen and Jasmine were humble and sweet, and that helped their cause a lot.

Good point; she needs to tone it down to help her cause.
