He was showing them contingencies when they showed him to the street - Harry Chapin
"How do you know the chosen ones? No greater love hath a man than he lay down his life for his friend. Not for millions, not for glory, not for fame... for one person. In the dark. Where no one will ever know or see." - Sebastion, Babylon 5
Just being on this show puts all of them in a better place than they were before. Even if it's by one gig.
Truthfully.I don't know what they are doing. I do know that those shows aren't afraid of a winner with some diversity. What have the last 3 guitar strummers done that is so special? I do enjoy Scotty so he gets a pass from me,lol.
If you are a singer and wanting to get discovered after watching the past 5 seasons you should not come on this show for a multitude of reasons.
2. don't play a guitar
3. Sing R&B soul
5. sing in tune

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

What annoyed me early on about Scotty was how he kept singing the same song all the time.
Despite the fact that Jessica and I are more likely to have the same ancesters, I don't believe in holding someone's race and gender against them and I'm really glad Phillip won!
I just watched an interview with Colton about Phillip and it was awesome. I can't repeat it though because he used the G word and I don't want to offend anyone.
Jessica may have the better voice, but Phillip has a unique sound, and way of putting a song across. He is just so darn sweet, how could many of us not be happy he won. Jessica is very young, and am sure has a wonderful future ahead of her. Don't know what it will take for a female to win Idol again?? That doesn't matter. Just getting on the show, gives a talented one exposure to "who knows what".
