I agree. Not a big metal person here, but I like what he does.

Sigh. A silly montage of Randy and his stupid catch phrases.

I can't wait to NOT hear "in it to win it" every week.

Now we have Jacob and some gospel dude. Right after a heavy metal band.

Nonsense filler where we get to see behind the scenes shots of the judges in a "get to know them" segment. Randy is first, and we see clips from the auditions and the show. He repeats his famous lines.

Well now there's a dudette there...Is that Aretha Franklin? Ooops no. Gladys Knight. Minus the Pips.

It's like a concert with a gospel choir. Definitely the total antithesis to James. Couldn't they have separated them a bit? What's next? Casey following Naima?

This is a hot mess - everyone is singing something different and Jacob is off key as usual. :eyeroll
That's Gladys Knight. I guess that makes Jacob a Pip.

I was thinking the same thing.

I bet singing with Gladys Knight fulfilled a dream or two for Jacob as well.

ETA: Gutmutter, you always make me Thanks!
