All I saw was Gaga in her black leather bra and panties - bathing suit, basically, seen every summer on thousands of beaches by kids of all ages - and Gaga crouching and standing up on her stool while playing the piano and singing. He guitar player was shirtless and pretty hot. Which part was "too graphic for family TV" or a display of prostitution?

I would like to take Nigel out back and kick him around a bit not for airing Gaga's performance. I think he deserves to be smacked for turning the show into the JLo and Steven pimping hour but other than that...
I was having a difficult time concentrating on the song because I was distracted by her legs and what she was doing on the piano bench in those leather panties. Do I need to go on?
Most people either sit down and play the piano, or they get up from the piano.....
Dear paranoid people who check behind their shower curtains for murderers, if you do find one, what's your plan?

    Nicely put, Bloomers!! Classy answer!
Sometimes it is not "what you wear" but "how you wear it"!!!

As I said before a sad commentary on a talented person.

Yeah, that sums it nicely. Gaga's really talented but I can't take the shock value.

If Haley was thrilled about going on to next week, more power to her. She is not Stephano, after all. This unwritten rule that contestants must tear up (or fake tearing up) after they have just learned they are moving up in the competition is bewildering. Haley has worked her butt off to make it to the Top 3, and she has the right to be happy about that. It doesn't mean she won't miss James. But if she doesn't miss James, who freakin cares? It's a rigorous performance competition, not the Miss America contest.

Well put! Imagine you've just found out you're in the top 3 ... your emotion is one of elation but at the same time a fellow comrade is sent home... you're sad of course but who's to say you have to cry and why would we expect her too or anyone for that matter?? Maybe Lauren was crying because she was relieved she too made top 3? We certainly can't read these contestants minds.

Its got to be difficult. You are elated you're moving on but sad that someone you have grown to know and like is leaving. I'm not sure how I would act.

Not sure where to post this, but I'll try here.

Since I have no idea what any of the contestant's hometown visits look like or sound like YET, we will be able to tell which one is TRULY adored by their fans by the video we see on Wednesday night. If one has huge amounts of intrigued fans, that will say a lot. If one has few fans in attendance, THAT says a lot. One may have an enormous audience in attendance, but few of them are paying attention to the festivities -- they may just want to be on TV.

The amount of time, money and planning it takes to organize a great visit (and even moreso, the hometown FINALE show) takes its toll on the hometown organizers. Believe me, I am personally aware of that. If the kid is truly loved and respected, though, we do it with grace, love and no complaints. If the kid is not cared for or if it appears to be a JOB rather than an act of love, the organizers just do it to get it done. Once I participated in the visit, I took great notice of this each and every subsequent season. A few times it amazed me that the kid actually chose to go to their "hometown" when it appeared that they were no more a fixture in that area than the man in the moon. In all cases, that singer (not surprisingly) did not win!

I make these comments now so that no one thinks I am speaking in favor of any one contestant. The truth is, like a good teacher, I have no favorite. Instead, like a human teacher, there have been a couple in the top thirteen that I offer little regard for because they do not deserve my respect. It has nothing to do with talent -- all about personality, kindness, respect for others and themselves, and hard work.

Not sure now who I will vote for, but I imagine that after watching the videos this Yankee will be voting for someone below the Mason-Dixon line!!

Um, I just watched Scotty's hometown concert live on local TV (WRAL), and it's obvious there is great love and respect for Scotty in Garner and the whole Raleigh metropolitan area. The love in the air at Lake Benson Park must have been what held the rain off. The genuine, humble gratitude and good grace exhibited by Scotty was just amazing. Not to mention that he sounded fantastic singing...

Can't speak for the two ladies, but Scotty's hometown visit was phenomenal. Hope the edit for the show manages to convey what it was really like.

I think you had the exact reaction she was going for.
