At least they didn't show Lauren asking who Norma Jean or Marilyn Monroe was.

Lauren singing Candle in the Wind. I can't help but think that she is too young and not ready for this yet. She has the voice, but should have waited a couple of years. Her parents would have done her a favor by having her finish her education first. She would only gain maturity and experience that come out in performances by doing so. There is no way she even knows who "Norma Jean" is.

    Beautiful voice though!

Old Person time here: does anybody else remember hearing Elton sing this at Princess Di's funeral? At that time, I had never heard the song before, so had no clue it had been written for Monroe. I wonder if Lauren remembers the funeral?

Lauren sounded lovely. My mother says it was her best.

    .
That song is forever etched in my mind because of Lady Di's funeral.
