Not my cup of tea. At all. What in the world did he do in the middle (or toward the end?) of that song? Was it screaming? Runs? I don't know, but it was waaaaay over the top for me. And on top of it all, he was off key. He sang much better in previous shows.

Last night was not a great night for Jacob. I prefer to believe that it was a fluke...not the norm. I am not a fan of too much falsetto coming from a man, but I do believe that I am a fan of Jacob's.

Jacob has talent, and I really believe that the folks with talent who end up even in the Top 13 can parlay that into a record deal, or some kind of a career in music. They're meeting the right people and all sorts of doors are opening.

This kid is amazingly talented with a gorgeous voice. Personally, I would like him to stick to the mellow tunes without the runs and screeching. His voice is low and rich and that is where he shines. The slightly effete facial mugging doesn't bother me, but it could affect the voting. He should watch that.

Jacob took one of my all time favorite songs from one of my favorite bands and totally butchered it! If anyone was going to sing it, IMO it should have been Pia.

    The song was unrecognizable.

I loved his voice and song choice the first week when the Top 13 sang. Have not enjoyed the last two weeks were he picked songs way out of his range. When he is on he is really on. I see him lasting a long time because he has the fan base that will keep him safe.

I liked him better this week. I have been hearing people say "great voice but I don't like this sort of music," so I imagine he will be the first guy out.
He had a tough week this week since he lost his friend, Nate Dogg. Shocking that Nate Dogg had a choir. I miss Nate Dogg too.

Jacob showed what he can do on Motown night. Great phrasing, gorgeous tone and incredible range. He is exciting to watch. I'm ready to go to his concert. My guess is he'll make it to Top 3 on AI, like Elliot Yamin. Both are gifted male vocalists, but not quite contemporary enough to win AI. [Elliott unexpectedly became contemporary on his album, which I love.]

Great voice but honestly he's just so overly dramatic. I always look forward to his performances though.

Personally I find these humane mouse traps rather ineffective. Better to lay down some glue and when you hear the critter scream you take a shovel to his head.
