Thanks for that post. I agree with many of the observations in that article. Tyler has been a trans-formative force for AI this season.

I had no idea what to expect with Steven. I'm finding him to be sincere and endearing. After taking a season off last year I actually look forward to each week. Even the bad auditions aren't as bad to watch. I feel as if the focus had been more on the talent.

I can't believe FOX allowed Steven to sing the National Anthem on a CBS broadcast. He sang for the opening of the AFC championship game and showed his age - both in the gray strands of hair around his face and his voice. You would think he would have sung for the NFC championship game on FOX and the west coast. Anyway...

He sang because he has a connection to the Patriots and Fox granted him permission to do so

He's Steven Tyler. We're people expecting Placido Domingo?

I thought he sounded great! He sang it classic Steven Tyler style, and acapella..which isn't easy anyway. I thought he did a great job especially at his age.

Okay - I give. However, Kristin Chenowith did a magnificent job at the NFC championship game, even in the rain and wind.

Steven has just resigned from Idol to concentrate on Aerosmith.

I'm not surprised. I think AI is ending its run anyway, unless they can give it some fresh blood.
