In the contestant's defense, they don't have all the brilliant songs that have ever been done in the movies to choose from. As a matter of fact, it's a pretty limited list of all the movie songs that have been done previously on Idol, plus some songs no one in their right mind would pick. (Ghostbusters? I mean seriously!)

If Mike sings "Will You Be There" I will not be responsible for my actions.

I wasn't impressed. But maybe I'm remembering his "singing," which I think is beyond awful. I'd much rather watch him in the movies, where he really is talented.

Michael Lynch - Will You Be There

Ah! A Michael Jackson song - I don't remember seeing this on the list. And Big Mike does his usual bang-up job on the vocals. Again, not a lot of new ground here, though.

Randy: Didn't love this. Wanted and R&B song.
Ellen: From one of the great movies of all time - Free Willy. A little predictable.
    Kara: No goosebumps. Too safe.
Simon: What's Free Willy about? At least you gave it 100%.

Big Mike: Didn't like the way he started out. He did OK, but I think he could have made a better selection. He has more in him than what he showed tonight.

Mike didn't change anything...just rather ran through it.

One can always guess how Mike will sound, he's so predictable.

I'm tired of him always trying to be so 'noble' and 'moving' in his performances. He thinks he is so 'powerful'.
