    Shania Twain
    rolling eyes (sorry Shania fans...)

I mean she's far better than Miley, but... it just seems like Idol is having a real problem getting creative heavyweights to sit in the Mentor Chair.

And once more we get one of these STUPID melodramatic intros. They've been SO much worse this season. If I was writing a MAD Magazine Parody of Idol it might sound like some of these actual intros.

On the positive side, I thought Shania was the best guest audition judge. I'm happy to see her again.

Shania worked her way up to the top of the game. She raised her siblings while working in a casino at night after her mother and father died. She went to Nashville and after one album refused to do it Nashville's way and would only record her own stuff. She's very creative IMHO.

See... the problem is "the music of Shania".

She's not the worst singer ever. She's got decent stage presence. She wasn't even a bad "guest judge". Her songs certainly aren't BAD. But she's hardly got a huge crossover catalog. I mean her "huge" sales were actually only for a relatively small number of songs. So we've got a pretty small "pick list" here.

Will there be more than one song to sing tonight?

Lee Dewyze – You’re Still the One

I like this rearrangement! I think Lee gets the "Most Improved" award for his Idol journey to date. That was a very nice vocal, and he's getting those higher notes now.

Randy: Kinda pitchy, but you found your sweet spot and made it your own. Pretty good.
    Ellen: Better than pretty good.
Kara: Look how far you've come! Even smiled a few times.
Simon: Perfect song choice. Pulled some weird faces.

I like the way Lee is doing this song. It's weird hearing it in such a low register, but

I really don't like this. Here's the original.

Lee: He just doesn't do anything for me. Qualitywise, I just am not feeling him.
