Who the H-E-Double Toothpicks is Paige?!

Forgettable. All of 'em except Crystal, Lilly, and Bon-bon.

Even Crystal is off? What? Well, it got better when she started using her full voice. But how old-fashioned.
Does a girl have to win this year?

No one can ever accuse Crystal of not knowing what kind of artist she is/wants to be. Love this girl.

    Crystal is it. Case closed.
Crystal will be in the TOP 2, Simon, not just Top 12.

The question remaining is: Which male will be her runner-up?

I love Crystal. Loved her version of the song. Buuuuuuuuut, she really didn't bring anything new to the song. It didn't feel karoke, but it was.

Ellen is indeed wrong about the meaning of the song. That said, even with the right "meaning" Paige sucked at it. Her interpretation was flat, not pained. The singer has to communicate agony.

Meanwhile on the other end of the spectrum, we have Crystal. Totally different kind of song, of course, so its apples to oranges. But even beyond interpreting a song, what we're seeing from Crystal which Paige has zero of is stage presence. You control the crowd, not the other way around. Crystal (and Siobahn) control the crowd. People like Paige, Katelyn, Katie, etc. don't.

Agree, they should up the age range from 18-30yo. That means Angela Martin qualifies next year!

I disagree. While it was not an enormous departure from the original Tracy Chapman version, it was not karaoke either. She gave it a different rhythm in places and it had a different feel.

She just reeks of professionalism IMO and I mean that in a good way. She's heading in to the home stretch and the rest of the nags are just leaving the gate.
