What does Ellen want? Miley again? Demi Lovato? Or Lady GaGa? The last is pretty darn current.

Oh, okay, Kara; a proven radio hit is NOT enough for this crappy show? WHATEVER.
THAT was the most confusing judges' critique I've heard yet. I thought it was the perfect youthful, current song for her, and she sounded great! What does Ellen want her to do? How much more youthful can one get that this song? Mary Had a Little Lamb?

I'm thinking she should do Katie Perry's "I Kissed a Girl."

Poor Katie might end up on Celebrity Rehab.

Not that either girl can sing, but at least Swift's songwriting is good.

To be fair, they asked her ABOUT Disney, basically. "Performers under 20"? Who's that leave? Disney Radio. Blech. If Katie doesn't listen to that, good for her.
True. It was a trick question. They probably wanted her to say Taylor Swift.

Didi Benami was watching the guys last night and trying to decipher the judge's comments. She's doing Bill Wither's Lean on Me.

Her first note was - what? The girl is switching octaves at will. Still she can sing on pitch, which this year is like a major milestone.

Randy: I would have not chosen a deep-rooted soul song.
Ellen: Love your voice and presence. But poor song choice.
Kara: Wasn't really good. You wanted to do something different - but what you need consistency.
Simon: Screechy; bad choice of song. You have this fantastic opportunity, and yet you do something very generic.

Didi is trying not to cry.

Here's the thing, Dawgs: When the show has Theme Weeks, ALL the singers left will be asked to sing OLDER SONGS. What should Katie sing if she gets to a "RatPack Night"?!

Didi looks like the Bad Wife of "Glee".
