I expected a lot more light and funny moments from Ellen. But it seems like Paula was more interesting.

But Paula was interesting in a "hold my beer, I'm gonna try something" kinda way.

With Ellen, you can at least be assured she's saying whatever it is she's saying to get a laugh. With Paula, you never really knew what you were gonna get.

Ok. This is a really strange and nit-picky question, but is anyone else bothered by the eye makeup they've been slathering on Ellen? I've always loved her natural look, and all those false eyelashes or heavy eyeliner on the outside of her eyes or whatever they're doing make her look like her eyes are too close together or she's cross-eyed or something. It's very strange and not Ellen looking at all. It really bugs me.

Is she wearing that kind of makeup on her talk show now, too? ICK!

I don't like the makeup and I really don't like the hairdo.

Both give her a hard edge, overall, IMO.

She is currently a spokesmodel for Cover Girl, isn't she? I want to know what's up with her neck. She's always wearing scarves and ties and one week it was loose and it looked like her neck was all chewed up. My imagination?

"Chewed up" how? Was it just sort of saggy looking like it gets to be on many of us women in our 50s, or was there red, raw, sick looking stuff going on?

Lots of women start wearing stuff around their necks as things there start to become a bit turkey-like, but I don't know if that's what's going on or not.

Trust me - I know about the aging neck syndrome. Maybe that's all it is.

I noticed it that too - it may be way out of left field, but I wondered if Ellen had thyroid surgery. It's pretty common and leaves significant scarring on the neck.

    You guys!

Now I'm going to have to look at her neck.

As far as thyroid surgery, I doubt that would account for it. On Tuesday, I'm going to be glued to the set when Ms. D. is on.
