    Re: AI9 Spoilers

The poor man's Adam Lambert was the guy we saw the other night with the bedazzled face and sparkly shawl! lol! This guy isn't like Adam but I wonder if they might be related!

I kind of think the guys and the girls are even this year as far as talent goes. We've got "cannon fodder" on both sides. There are a lot of women who do "experimental" music and a lot of acoustic guys. Too many! I'm not really excited about anyone yet. I'm interested to hear Big Mike. His sound is new but very interesting.

Poor guy! How many times do you think he was called Adam in Hollywood? I guess next year we can expect to hear from Daniel Cook, Kevin Allen, Carl Aiken, and Connie Underwood.

Can I just point out that there are no R&B women? There aren't as many pop girls either. The women are lacking a lot of variety. We have a lot of country, acoustic, folk. Most of the guys are acoustic or pop rock. I am interested to hear if there are differences. On paper, it looks like we have the same guy nine or more times.

This is pretty incredible. The entire list of semi-finalists leaked in less than a week. Many thanks to posters on Idol Forums and VTFW. Picture by dhealy, idol forums. And especially the tireless work of Joe's Place Blog who seems to have sources in all the right places. And MJ for compiling and keeping everyone informed of the latest developments.

How can you even say that when we didn't see the auditions of at least half of the ones in the top 24. I'll reserve my judgment on this until the first rounds in.

Agree. Speaking for myself, I need to see two performances from a singer with no producer editing before I can get a grip on what they are about. (Which is one of the reasons why last season's semi-finals were so maddening to me. It was one shot, and you're out the door. Unless the producers already liked you.)

    Re: AI9 Spoilers

Most of the top 24 have music on myspace or youtube. Or they did before they were forced to delete them. But just because you were good before Idol does not mean you will be good on Idol.

Rumor: Michael Lynch was DQ'd for a confidentiality breach and has been replaced by Antwan Michael. I hope this is not true. Big Mike was very talented and unique.

I'm basing it on what I've seen so far. I know the auditions aren't over. You'd think, though, that they would show some contestants right off the bat that would make people want to tune in for the rest of the season. I'm sticking it out because I'm strangely compelled to watch every season no matter what.

    Re: AI9 Spoilers

So looks like Ben Honeycutt is out! He was never chosen. Perhaps it was another Ben. Perhaps it was someone amazing like Jermaine Purifoy! But probably not. I hope whoever the new guy is, he doesn't play guitar and sing pop rock like the others.
Someone at another forum said that Todrick Hall will replace Michael Lynch instead of Antwan Michael. Whatever the case, losing Michael is a big loss.
