I think he wrote it and sang a duet with Bonnie Tyler before she recorded it. When I did a search on Meatloaf it was one of the first ones that came up.

Jim Steinman wrote most of Meat Loafs songs including Total Eclipse of the Heart.

I used to work with a guy who could have given Vanilla Ice a run for his money when he did Ice, Ice Baby on karaoke once.

I could see Adam doing Love, Death and an American Guitar. I'd probably like what he could do with that.

I like Hip Hop but as a theme? Hmmm that's interesting for sure.

The arena rock theme would work really well for me as well. Bring on Def Leppard!

How about "One Hit Wonder" night?

"Soundtrack" night is a possibility, but it means there is a risk of someone singing I Will Always Love You (which we narrowly avoided last night)

Eagles or Chicago would give contestants a long list of songs to work with.

Because I love the sound of Matt Giraud's voice (along with Matt Wertz and Matt Nathanson) they could have them sing a song by an artist with the same first name . . . . but I'm guessing they'll need to wait until Anoop leaves.

I love the idea of one hit wonders. Who would do "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell??

I also thought that the Eagles would provide a nice selection of songs.

Didn't last year's Danny do "Tainted Love"? IIRC, that was the week he went home!

Interesting idea to have them do songs by artists with the same first name. Unfortunately, that doesn't leave Allison much to do except Allison Kraus...hmmmm, trying to imagine "When You Say Nothing At All" as a rock ballad.

I think Bryan Adams night would be great and he has a heck of a song list to choose from.
