I agree that Ricky was robbed. I never heard him (or heard of him) before Week 1 of the Top 36. As the judges said, his vocals were nearly flawless, but I think Ricky's bland Mr. Nice Guy appearance and personality hurt him with TPTB.
If he'd made the Top 13, we have have seen him grow and change over the weeks, much as Clay did back in the day.
All the finalists have talent, but IMO he's probably the weakest one in the group.
I think this guy may be in over his head.
History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people. Martin Luther King, Jr.
I think he would be fine if he sticks with the country genre but sadly, he seems to think he's R&B and he's just not.

Nope, he didn't steal anything from anybody. He was voted in by the public, was part of the first (stacked) group of 12, and didn't even require the benefit of a wildcard spot. He's nowhere near the best singer in the top 13 but clearly he appeals to a lot of people. The male version of Kristy Lee Cook.

It sure was! I've never liked him. I doubt he gets the boot though.Originally Posted by Krom;3379601;
