Thank you, MsFroggy!!!! Simply stunning vocals. I loved Adam all through AI last year, and this clip reminds me why I was so obsessed. Can't wait to hear this in the theater, and then see him at the Oscars!!!

Adam Lambert to perform at AMAs

Ryan Seacrest and Adam Lambert announced on Seacrest’s KIIS FM radio show this morning that the American Idol star is performing at the American Music Awards (AMAs), which will air on ABC Nov. 22. The singer will perform the first single from his as-yet-untitled upcoming debut album (due Nov. 24). The single has yet to be selected or released, but Lambert promised that it would be “glammy.” “We’re bringing back a glam-rock kinda feel to pop music,” Lambert told Seacrest.

Lambert also addressed rumors that he’d be touring with Lady Gaga, saying no offers had been made to him.

Adam Lambert's 'Time For Miracles' Video To Debut Before 'This Is It' - News Story | Music, Celebrity, Artist News | MTV News

Adam Lambert's 'Time For Miracles' Video To Debut Before 'This Is It'
A '2012' trailer that includes the 'American Idol' runner-up's music video will be shown before Michael Jackson documentary.

By Jim Cantiello, with reporting by Matt Elias

In addition to putting the finishing touches on his major-label debut and announcing the nominees for the 2009 American Music Awards, where he will be performing, Adam Lambert just finished shooting the music video for "Time for Miracles," a song recorded for the upcoming end-of-the-world blockbuster "2012."

"[The video] was really performance-driven. It was really about the lyric content and the emotional guts of the song," Lambert told MTV News on Tuesday (October 13) in Los Angeles.

But given that the tune is being used in a Roland Emmerich-helmed disaster flick, fans should expect a doomsday element to the clip as well. "There were a ton of extras on the set. What they were doing is they were staging scenes reminiscent of what happens in '2012,' " Lambert said.

Specifically, the "American Idol" rocker pointed to one sequence in the video where he sings calmly while chaos surrounds him. "I'm just walking through looking straight at the camera singing the song, and there's a riot going on around me — people being tossed in front of me, looting, you know, people being arrested," Lambert described. "That was pretty wild, to try to stay focused on the song while that was happening. But we had fun. It was a good day."

Recording the song was perhaps more of a challenge. Lambert explained that working with producer Rob Cavallo on the power ballad was fairly intense. "[He] pushed me to the limit," Lambert said. "I sang for my life. It was quite a day of recording, but it turned out great." Cavallo and Lambert went on to work together on several tracks that might end up on Lambert's CD come November 24. (Cavallo spilled three song titles to Yahoo! Music on Tuesday, including "Suburban Decay," "Winners" and "Music Again.")

A small snippet of "Time for Miracles" leaked late last week, but Lambert told us to expect the full song later this week. "I believe on the 18th [Saturday], 'Time for Miracles' will be released. ... I'm really happy about it."

Lambert is especially happy about where fans will be able to see the "Time for Miracles" video: the big screen. "The '2012' trailer that we put together with the ['Time for Miracles' music video] will be premiering at the Michael Jackson film," Lambert revealed to MTV News, referring to a special trailer that will run before the upcoming documentary "Michael Jackson's This Is It."

Adam's song has leaked & can now be heard at youtube. Just search the following:

Adam Lambert: Time For Miracles FULL VERSION!! (lyrics in description)

I must say, I'm disappointed. Don't like it even a little bit. I'm sure though that his fans will love it.

The song "Time for Miracles" is beautiful and appropriate for a big budget disaster extravaganza. It's got everything from slight country-ish guitar riffs at the beginning to hard edged guitars and drums that remind me of the beginning riffs in "Kashmir" near the middle. They used a full orchestra and lots of vocal layering (all Adam's). His voice is unmistakable, smooth, rich and soaring into the stratosphere. Think "I don't wanna miss a thing" by way of "My heart will go on". I'm not a power ballad kind of girl but I love this!

Listen to it here: YouTube - Adam Lambert Time for Miracles - full song

Here's a write-up from Yahoo! Reality Rocks. Right now the song is only available in iTunes and Amazon in Europe:

"Miracles" Do Happen! Adam Lambert's '2012' Theme Finally Released

After last week's 29-second tease of Adam Lambert's 2012 theme in a new movie trailer (during which the actors' dialogue actually overlapped Adam's vocals! such disrespect! shaddup, actors!), the full and thankfully dialogue-free song was leaked this weekend and released on Amazon for preorder. And naturally, anxious Adam fans are stampeding to hear it, triggering a possible Amazon-server meltdown/explosion not unlike something straight out of the Roland Emmerich disaster film itself.

The song certainly has rock cred, as it was recorded by Green Day/My Chemical Romance superproducer Rob Cavallo and co-written by Alain Johannes of Eleven/Spinnerette/Queens Of The Stone Age and his late partner Natasha Shneider. But this is certainly no little hipster/indie sleeper tune, nor is it the eccentric electropop promised to be featured on Adam's upcoming debut album.

No, "Time For Miracles" is exactly the type of song a multi-jillion-dollar action flick requires: It's four minutes and 44 seconds of unapologetically unsubtle, over-the-top, ostentatious bombast and bluster and Bic-flicking power-balladry, a la Aerosmith's Armageddon anthem "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" or U2's Batman blitzkrieg "Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me," or even Berlin's Top Gun smash "Take My Breath Away."

This is a GOOD thing, by the way. Come on, 2012 isn't some quirky indie film. It ain't Juno or Once or Lost In Translation. It's a big-budget popcorn blockbuster packed with CGI'd explosions, so it needs an explosive blockbuster of a theme song. The "Kashmir"-ish kind of song that'll blast off the multiplex screen and out of the THX sound system, and thus forcibly pin ADD-addled moviegoers to their seats so that they actually sit still through the credits. The kind of song whose video can only be properly premiered in a cavernous movie theater before Michael Jackson's This Is It screenings. The kind of song that classic rocker Brian May of Queen (and, um, myself) would describe as "truly sensational" and "obviously a number one smash."

Don't worry, we'll likely get some indie-ish electropop from Adam later. And I am definitely looking forward to hearing that side of Adam's mulitple musical personality as well. But right now, this is certainly the way for him to start his recording career with a big BANG:

WOW! The song by itself is a soaring power ballad, but placed with the trailer it really makes sense. Absolutely beautiful when put in context - brought tears to my eyes.

I loved the song and Adam's voice was as pure and amazing as usual. I can not wait until his album comes out! BTW, Adam will be on the cover of the November issue of Details magazine, he said something about it being maybe a little racey! Whoo Hoo!

I've seen the pictures and read the article. They can't be posted here except for maybe one, LOL, but they're sexy. Not terribly racy, at least not by Details magazine standards. Yes, I googled for comparisons. It was a tough job but I had to do my research. However, if there's anyone still left out there who thinks Adam was going to conform to the nice family friendly G-rated AI mold the way that every other Idol who ever came off this show still does, they won't be thinking that anymore after this article comes out.

That song - wow! I get goosebumps after the 3 minute mark. I never get tired of that voice! I'm so happy for him, to get this kind of exposure (big budget movie theme song). Kick ass, Adam. I can't wait for his album to come out.
