TCDC, you consistently have great posts.
    Now a confession:
You know how someone is just ok, maybe not your favorite but not Jack the Ripper bad........and then you're forced to be around them so much that they really start to get under your skin. It's a progressive disease, and eventually you cringe at the very sight of them.
It's called Kara DioGuarditis, and I have it.

I like Kara. I like the critiques that she is bringing to the show, and I think she's getting better. She's had a few verbal gaffes (SNL for SNF, number of words, etc.), but her notes for the performers are generally good. I say cut some of the Ryan dialogue and/or the backstory montage packages. Make it (gasp) directly about the singing and the comments on the singing.

Kara is so full of herself. Hate her.

Loved it when Megan's brother called her out for her comments.

She won't be back next year.
    And the official explanation will be;
"it was never planned for more than one year".

Remember you heard it here first.

I do like her better at this point than when she started out.
She is tending to give more relevant comments now, although some are still a bit lacking.
However, I do think that the 4 judge format is over burdening the show and takes away from the contestants' time too often.

    Simon claims otherwise:

Simon: All Four Idol Judges "Absolutely" Returning Next Season

"I think certainly next year everyone's going to be back," he told Ellen DeGeneres during a pre-taped Tuesday appearance on her show ("Yeah, absolutely," he added.)

Of course she's coming back. It appears to me that she's being groomed for the lead judge position when Simon leaves. Neither Paula nor Randy seems to show any signs of being at the helm, but Simon and Kara often tussle for control.

    Re: Kara DioGuardi - Judge

Tuesday night was another example of the annoying Kara. She had to ridiculously top Randy's comments about Adam by dramatically calling Adam a "Rock God." Adam could make a great rock record, but she inadvertently parodied Adam's performance by not talking about it in a more realistic fashion.

I think it's pretty obvious Kara is not returning next year. Simon and Paula have repeatedly said there is not enough time for the judges to speak with four on the panel, and Simon said recently that he would not want to do the show without Randy and Paula.
