I thought it was just another screamy, boring performance again. Did nothing for me.

Screamesha bugs me! I hope to see her and Ramiele in bottom three.. (probably Chikeze as the 3rd)

Yeah, me too. But unlike Whitney, I'd use my voice for good, not evil.

she's been doing good two weeks in a row but i don't know what the hell randy is talking about her being a contender. theres no way she's going to win and i'd be very surprised if she made it into the top 6. there are just way too many other more popular contestants who have been doing well since the beginning of top 24.

So for someone like Sayesha who seems to be modeling herself after the aforementioned, or others similar them, being compared to either of them can't be considered a bad thing.
The only place I have seen Screamesha compared to Whitney & Mariah is on this particular board,so I don't know how much credence I'd give to that.

This was the first week since the early auditions when Syesha really impressed me. If she's in the bottom 2 this week, I think singing first last night will have a lot to do with it. If she'd done that same performance in the pimp spot, she'd be safe, for sure.

I'm not a fan of a lot of melismatic runs and the kind of note-torturing that characterizes today's "r and b," so I liked the first half of Syesha's performance last night better than the last half. But for the style she did, I thought she was excellent.

Right now the only contestants I'd rate lower than Syesha are Kristy and maybe Brooke, Ramiele, and Michael Johns. (Jason too, if we're just talking vocals, but we're not.) I don't think Syesha really brings anything new or different to the contemporary soul/r&b table though. She would get lost in a sea of Alicia Keys, Mary J Blige, Mariah Carey, Christina, Whitney, etc., etc. But I really which Brooke would go home first. (Country music will make at least a flash-in-the-pan star out of her, regardless, the way they have with nearly every Idol top-10-er who sings country. Same probably goes for Brooke.) Anyway, if Syesha goes home tonight, it will be on a very good note.
