Love that kid!
Chris Sligh from Season 6 has had some really nice things to say about Jason recently.
On the Red Carpet for the finale:
Also, go here to see what Chris had to say about meeting Jason personally: From My Mind To Your Eyes: Jason CastroInterviewer: What's been your favorite performance all season?
Chris Sligh: Probably Somewhere Over The Rainbow by Jason Castro. That was amazing. I got chills, and I mean, nothing against American Idol, but nothing on American Idol gives me chills - but that gave me chills.
And finally, a free-to-grab image (not by me) created by a Castronaut somewhere out there in Internet land, for JC/DC fans
It's from the Ford Music Video where the Idols throw paint around.
He seems like a really cool guy.
Any Texans here? Jason's having a homecoming parade! Woot woot!

Rockwall To Welcome 'Idol' Jason Castro
The city of Rockwall on Thursday will officially welcome back its own hometown hero, Jason Castro, who made it to the top four on this season's "American Idol." A parade and concert are among the featured events.
The parade honoring the dreadlocked "Idol" finalist, who amassed a fan base of so-called "Dread Heads," will feature Castro, his family and fans.
It is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Ridge Road and Summer Lee.
Immediately following the event, Castro will perform three songs during a mini-concert at The Harbor. Among the tunes will be his popular version of "Over the Rainbow."
Mayor Bill Cecil will reportedly give Castro a key to the city.

Jason and Bo! Very sweet.
I love that last pic with Bo. They could be brothers.
Thanks for sharing, Bama.

Maybe we should chug on over to namby pamby land where we can find some self confidence for you, you jackwagon!
Wonder how he felt when he heard he was drafted in the first round by the Houston Astros. Who knew?
Jason Castro -- Trey Hill photographs
Click the link to check out a blog posted by photographer Trey Hill, who writes about working with Jason. There are some really good pics there, too! Here are some highlights from the blog:
on Friday, i had the great pleasure of doing a test with Jason Castro from American Idol. he was a super down to earth guy and incredibly patient with us as we tried out several things.
he played Hallelujah for us. i think there were 6 people in the room. it was really, really good.
This is one charming guy. He was very good in concert. He engaged the crowd, he smiles a ton, and he was having a blast. He's another one I left enjoying more than I expected.
